May the Lord have mercy on the mother. May He find this baby a home and love. My heart aches. What is wrong with this country, The women today discard their babies more than they will toss old mascara or old ratty shoes. What a beautiful baby. Thank God they found her.

I'm glad I don't know someone that would leave a baby like that , but you never know with people now a days

Just as easily, that baby could have been carefully left in a box outside a church, fire or police station --ANYPLACE else, where people would likely find it quickly, to then keep it safe.

My spidey senses are telling me this may not be simply a case of a heartless mother abandoning her child. There may be a cruder element to this, one which also reeks of the mother being held hostage, at the mercy of someone just a tad less-evil than killing that child outright to begin with.

I wonder if that plastic leads to a much more sinister story, along with DNA.
