Let's get one thing straight, if the economy was so great, consumers would be able to pay off their credit card debt .. | |

What debt ? I have 13,500 in credit and dont have 1$ on it right now. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76857890 FICO SCORE is 804 and I have NO TATTOOS !!! hahaha Tattoo'd trash I have no debt either. Fico of 840. Own two homes, two cars. All paid off That’s fantastic. Good on ya. The Mrs. and I only have mortgage debt and we’re working hard on paying that off, hopefully within the next five years. I’ll be 54 by then and have (hopefully) essentially zero debt. We keep a couple hundred on the CC just to maintain credit should we need it. |

My point is the majority are in debt up to the ears with no real intention or means to ever pay it off. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76508392 These people have the same problem as our congress. It's called a spending problem. And it is our congress that has caused many of those problems. The liberals forced the banks to loan money to those people that could not afford to buy a house. And then the congress allows, or forces our President to allow migrants from all over the world to come here to take away our jobs and/or force the US taxpayer to make sure the migrants are comfortable and healthy. .. Our congress does everything to shit in the faces of American people and love on the new democrats coming here .. If those " poor people " knew how to take care of their money, they would not be in debt.-they don't want to.- |

Wait until the masses realize all they have to do to crash the system that enslaves us is to demand proper validation by the third party creditors when they take you to court...they cant...their bill of sales have no validation or real info regarding the debt. One cant buy bad debt from the original creditor and then sue for damages when they did it to themselves...its actually a valid legal defense against them. Ive done it multiple times. The look on the judge and lawyers faces is priceless. Original creditors thrive on writing off debt then selling it for pennies on the dollar. The 3rd party cant ask for more than they bought it for and since they sued you for excessive damages you can counter sue them. |

Paying off credit card debt has nothing to do with the strength of the economy. The reason people run up debt in the first place is because they are living above their means. They carelessly throw away money just to have the image of appearing like they have more money than they actually have. Examples are owning a house bigger than they actually need or can really afford. Buying new cars every couple years. Owning ridiculously over priced phones and computers made by Apple just because they see there products in movies and TV shows. With the popularity of Fakebook this problem has become even worse because now everyone is out to try and impress everyone else and trying to show the world just how great their lives are no matter how much in shambles their lives really are. |

Medical debt is actually the most significant contributor to credit card debt and bankruptcy. When we have to do GoFundMe's to pay for your daughter's life-saving ileostomy (she had her large intestine removed due to Crohn's disease and then developed massive blood clots, also because of Crohn's and has been in and out of the hospital since she was 12) despite having a good job with health insurance, you know something is severely wrong. |

They can't. Most are so stretched so thin, they make only the minimum payment to stay afloat. You personally know how each individual with a credit card chooses to spend their money? No. You don’t. You must be one of those who is in debt up to your ears.... Yes, I know. Don't be an idiot. Facts are facts. The nation has a debt problem. |

Most are not in debt bc they don’t have money. It’s bc how they choose to spend the money they have. If you are vent free, like me btw, there is no reason for you to be this naive. |
