and do all your washing and such at night...if you have to cook..do so at night...use a microwave or eat out until the heat wave is over

do not use lights during the day and if you are working turn off your air con if you are single and alone ...if you have elders or children you should keep it on...

He gets up early, sets it back at 76 before he leaves for work, and I turn it back to 75....he changes it when he gets home...I wait for him to go to bed...

This is why my hubby and I squabble on that one degree.
Our bedroom is a new edition, has an amazing ceiling fan- the only ceiling fan in the house. Our bedroom feels much colder than any other room. It’s an old Victorian- and regardless of updates, some rooms just don’t cool as well. I turn it down that one degree so it’s tolerable other places.

I would have it set much cooler- but our electric bill in the summer is already between 450-500. Two floors, two units. Gets a bit pricey.

76 F at 55% humidity is inhumanly hot and obviously very unhealthy for me with saturation sweat soaking my clothes before leaving every morning.

I keep the truck and my office temperatures in the sixties; I am never comfortable in my home behind her idiocy of keeping our home uncomfortably hot.

There's a difference between private charity and being forced to give charity. Helping family, friends, and donating by choice are good. Using government force isn't.
