Bible students...how do you reconcile these 2 prophetic statements concerning the resurrection of Jesus, The Son of Man?
Mat 17:23 And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.

Mat 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Notice the difference?

Raised again the 3rd day is different than after 3 full days which would be on the 4th day.

How are these both TRUTH as they both must absolutely be true?

Yaway works and does thing in parribles. Mans simple mind does not understand God’s riddles. You need to have faith to believe something as scandalous as The creator of the universe giving His son to pay for our sins.

Yes one MUST never mind the manipulation of church dogma. It is written....

Mat 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

first day then night....NOT as you suggest...

oh, never mind.

Every reference in the NT says in the 3rd day....not even once 3 days or 3 nights or as you desire 3 nights and 3 days. NOT ONCE.

Jonah says AFTER 3 DAYS AND 3 NIGHTS. the NT refers to it the same way.

A child could see the difference. Your making the Bible out to be a LIE by manipulating words and thoughts. Next you use the LEFTS WAY of just saying it is the way i say or else.

Mat 17:23 And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.

Mat 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Raised again the 3rd day is different than after 3 full days which would be on the 4th day.

How are these both TRUTH as they both must absolutely be true?
 Quoting: yesterdays dust

I like the part where Jesus Christ rose from the dead.

No contention about that, OP?

The raising from the dead part seems more important than the purported timeline variance that you suppose.

I'm pretty sure everyone at the time of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ was able to verify the prophecy that Jesus made.

Perhaps you have an issue with the Catholic timeline from Good Friday to Easter Sunday. (Easter, of course, being a pagan celebration)

Once more a deflection is used by another to NOT answer a question.

Thought process of the weak goes like this. If you can't answer a question it must be the person who asks the questions who is at fault.

If you read what i've written in this short thread and believe i'm NOT a believer for the TRUTH'S of all Bible teachings......you already come up short and found wanting.

These four, principalities, powers, rulers of darkness and wickedness, are always the challenge for man to stay alert against.

For this reason i asked the question of this thread.

The 'high places' have deceived the many.

The word wrestle in this verse is found only once in The Bible.

meaning of Wrestle:

pale

wrestling (a contest between two in which each endeavours to throw the other, and which is decided when the victor is able to hold his opponent down with his hand upon his neck)

the term is transferred to the Christian's struggle with the power of evil

From pallo (to vibrate, another form for βάλλω (G906))

meaning:

to throw or let go of a thing without caring where it falls

THE ROOT OF WRESTLE MEANS WITHOUT CARING WHERE IT FALLS!

The time is come to care....not just parroting trained dogma.

The conflict is apparent between these 2 Biblical statements when seen only from the natural eye.

Rising on the 3rd day or after the 3rd day suggests a conflict. This thread was designed to point this out to solve this suggestion.

Over the years IN THE CHURCH i've watched many and read many to their mental contortions to prove the natural timeline.

CAN"T BE DONE. If it could be done easily you woulkd have done it here.....YOU HAVE NOT[/b[. You do expect US to read your detailed convoluted repeated teachings.

Re: Bible students...how do you reconcile these 2 prophetic statements concerning the resurrection of Jesus, The Son of Man?
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Once more a deflection is used by another to NOT answer a question.

Thought process of the weak goes like this. If you can't answer a question it must be the person who asks the questions who is at fault.

Your failure to communicate is the issue. I answered you the best I could but apparently you are asking something else but unable to communicate it properly.
