WALKAWAY: Rep. Pete King is the first Republican to sign on to the assault weapons ban
"They are weapons of mass slaughter," King said shortly after his backing became public on Congress's website Monday.

"I don't see any need for them in every day society," King said.
The Assault Weapons Ban of 2019 was rolled out in February by Rep. David Cicilline (D-R.I.) with 190 other Democrats on board. Another 11 lawmakers signed on after mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, left dozens of people dead and many more injured, with King being among the most recent.

King had been the lead sponsor of a bill improving background checks when Republicans controlled the House and was already one of a handful of Republicans backing that bill now.
He had been considering doing the assault weapons ban, already, but the shootings in Ohio and Texas raised the level of urgency.

"I think the assault weapons ban is timely now, especially in view of the shooting in El Paso and Dayton," King said.

King stepping forward could encourage other Republicans to step forward and prod Democrats in districts that have similar partisan makeups to King's district, that leans only slightly Republican.

"It might give cover to some other Republicans, it might give some incentive to Democrats," King said of his move.

Well, it would effectively ban all future manufacture of my current guns and/or magazines, but it grandfathers them in. So basically, get them now while you still can. It also doesn't apply to the sale or transfer of grandfathered guns.
[link to www.congress.gov (secure)]
So basically, the used value of such guns is going to be going through the roof again if this passes. I expect the weak kneed republicans will go along with this like King is. I hope it doesn't pass, but if it does I'll be sure to buy more shit before the law goes into effect. As usual, the cowards in favor of it don't have the balls to go whole hog with confiscation, they stop short as they did in the 90's and just inflate the used market value by cutting off the future supply.

Kamala Harris is not a Natural Born Citizen. She's illegally running.

Used by the Founders...
Book I of The Law of Nations, Chapter XIX, § 212 (Joseph Chitty numbering) – “Citizens and natives”
reads: 'The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to
its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in
the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by
the children of the citizens
, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all
their rights.' 1758 Emerich de Vattel

America must have 4 new Constitutional Amendments...
1. Drug Tests and Mental Evaluations on all politicians and judges randomly five times per year.
2. Term Limits for Federal politicians and judges.
3. Mental and health standards for Supreme Court Justices and retirement age set.
4. A 'Star Chamber' of elected Natural Born Citizens (no attorney's) to ivestigate, try, and prosecute the politicians and government employee's as they see fit.

If they're so confident that the public is largely in favor of it, why did they stop short of actually confiscating existing semiautomatic rifles and "high capacity" magazines? Why do they grandfather in all existing rifles and magazines? Oh, and while they prohibit the transfer of high capacity magazines and require background checks when selling grandfathered weapons, they don't actually prevent the sale of said weapons. So it will effectively skyrocket the value of existing weapons and create a huge black market for existing high cap mags. I guess they want to enrich existing gun owners and make it more expensive for anyone else to become a legal owner of these guns?

Guess they have it out for lower class people looking to defend themselves. If you don't have the disposable income to afford the new inflated prices, you're screwed. Better get them now while you still can, at least the law won't even try to take them away from you once you have them. If this doesn't pass, the only legacy it will leave is generating a nice windfall for gun manufacturers from the rush on these guns like we had under Obama every time he opened his yap on the subject.

Semiautomatic rifles are not military grade and are already banned. This law would ban civilian grade semiautomatic rifles, unless you're law enforcement, former law enforcement or already own such a rifle. Don't worry though, while it adds a mandatory background check on private sales it doesn't actually stop the private sale of existing grandfathered guns. If you have one and keep it in good condition it could become quite valuable.

Re: WALKAWAY: Rep. Pete King is the first Republican to sign on to the assault weapons ban
First, this is another criminal doing the bidding

for the NWO to bring about our disarmament.

Second, ban all you want, people will obtain guns

to protect themselves as they always have been.

Third, the Constitution guarantee's us the right

to defend ourselves and protect our families.

All that's going to happen is the Supreme Court

will make it official once and for all that---

When ANY gun fires one bullet at a time,

it's not an assault weapon.

So go ahead and play the 'conveniently stupid' game and

take it all the way through the courts.

In the end, it will be upheld that there is no controversy

about it-you have a right to live, be alive and seek

happiness which if you ban guns for protection is the

opposite of that as in you'd be dead without that

protection and very unhappy.

dead<----very unhappy

banana<----very happy because he has guns

See the difference????
