As an older student who has returned to college, I recently had a professor ask his class of 17-24 year-old students who Saddam Hussein was, and not a single one of them knew the answer. The entire history of 911 events, the Gulf invasion leading up to the destruction of Iraq, the Arab Spring, the attempted invasion of Syria, the murderous coup of Gaddafi....none of these events are in their knowledge or memory banks. Even for those who might be curious to read up on these subjects, so much information has been purged from the internet that they will never fully know or understand the significance of all that has changed over the last 18 years. It's pretty shocking to see how this mass ignorance has been used so effectively by political and MSM figureheads to steer whatever false-narrative they want to target at this lost generation.
