So democrats have an endless stream of political hacks "whistle blowing".

So not only are the Democrats going to try and remove our legally elected President by abusing this system, but they also are going to destroy the credibility of whistle blowers in general.

Kind of like how fake rape victim accusations hurt those that are real victims.

I sense another trap coming on. So every one starts clamoring for POTUS to release his tax returns again. He waits and waits until the feverish pitch is high and then releases it and - NADA. Yet another nothingburger (yeah, I’m tired of that noun, too, but it is appropriate).

Meanwhile, back at the ranch named “What’s Good for the Goose is Good for the Gander”, they begin asking not only for the IRS Loretta Lynch scandal but also for Obama’s tax returns. How many social security numbers did he have??

The US has been in somewhat of a bubble for most of its existence. It has been lucky enough to never suffer the full effect of ultra-liberalism, which countries like Russia, Germany (animal-rights-loving, Islam-admiring, Communist-studying Adolph Hitler), China, Cuba and various parts of Europe, Asia, Africa and South America have witnessed for generations.

Yes they're going for impeachment (likely I think) and removal (unlikely, I don't see much dissension among Republican despite the Romney guy saying there is, and there are no real grounds for it.)

Whistle blowers in general don't necessarily have a lot of credibility as it is, not to me anyway. There are more false alarms than real ones. If you don't like what's going on where you are, quit and go somewhere else.

Real rape victims still have all the rights to investigation they always did, rape kits haven't changed, etc. Forensics has gotten better. See, I NEVER had a feeling of "believe all women", I never trusted those who made accusations implicitly.

I was just a teenager during Watergate so I didn't have much perspective then. But from what I know and remember now, this isn't much different from Watergate, which wasn't based on much either.

And yet votes were flipped, and a president who had just been reelected with 49 STATES was pushed out by the political process. Arguably that alone should have made them lay off. It didn't slow them down at all.

Trump is nowhere close to Nixon's popularity -- granted the Dems nominated a pretty far left candidate, but one more respectable than the bunch of mediocrities running now on the D side.

The Dem effort is becoming professionalized, and they're mirroring the steps of Watergate. It's what they do whenever we have a patriotic conservative president. Nixon was the last one of those we had.

If I were the Dems, I'd push this impeachment thing a while, but not to a conclusion. Then enter a talking phase which is designed to weaken Republicans and hope to win a few Senate seats. Hope to get 51 total, which could happen if the R vote is depressed by targeted strategy in a few critical states.

Trump will probably be reelected, maybe even with a comfortable margin, but then the impeachment will be voted in early 2021 and passed to the Senate.

If the Dems have 51 seats in the Senate they make the rules for an impeachment trial. They'd still need 67 to convict, but making the rules might help them. Trump still probably isn't convicted, but boy will this be hell all around.

Why am I saying this? To put across the Dem mindset and why they won't quit. They see a path to victory with some luck. And they're already in it up to their necks anyway.
