PETA Nancies Outraged Over Videos of Deer Being "Tortured" in Pennsylvania | |

Quoting: TlvmmCpoft THIS. And some may prefer more primitive techniques, ways of killing that are more 'hands on' -- like there's a guy who likes to hunt bears with a spear -- the PETA types have attacked this as being "too cruel" no,it's just another way of doing it PETA has nothing to do with this. This just happened Saturday. And no, kicking a wounded deer in the head and ripping its antlers off is not "just another way of doing it" It's unnecessarily brutal and unethical. We are eternal... All this pain is an illusion |

Quoting: TlvmmCpoft Killing is a messy business, so roll up your sleeves and get it done. Torturing does not always end in death, it is preferable for the victims to stay alive and suffer as long as possible We're not all as good at the instant kill as you. That's probably a good thing. Why would you assume I’m good at it? Been shooting my whole life and sometimes shit happens and you miss your mark, a follow up shot cures that. I have yet to resort to torture to put meat on the table however |

In fact, that is the nearest town to where I am hunting right now. Quoting: Irredeemable Hunters aren't none too happy about this, it's giving them a bad name. These two shit heads will most certainly be made an example of, and rightfully so. No need to do what they did. However, with that being said, the threats to their family and the families business are uncalled for. This is a very small town and apparently one of these kids step dads is the police chief. These two were adults 17 or 18 years old. It's not like they were 12 years old and needed to be under supervision from their parents. These two did what they did all on their own and that's that. THIS^^^^^^^^well said.. I'm north of the airport, so probably just a county above you and I am a hunter as well! This is the first I've heard about it but I don't watch any news. I would like to think the social media shame would be enough punishment but I admittedly haven't seen video of it and I will not see it, if one exists. Dubois? I'm in Forest CO right now, but could walk to Jefferson in about 30 steps. Elk is a quick walk upriver, and clarion is a bit more downriver. Crazy I found someone on GLP so close. Good ole Beaver Co. As any bow hunters can tell you that you hope and pray and practice often for a clean shot kill, it unfortunately does not always happen that way. Any real hunter out in the woods without a knife is no hunter I would ever associate with. It is not a pleasant task to finish the job with a knife but as a hunter you must take on that responsibility and see the task thru to the end. You owe to the animal out of respect! This animal is giving its life for you to feed yourself and your famly, and if you see it any other way you have no business being in the woods or ever hunting a game animal. I shudder to think how much the nightly news will play this story simply to make ALL hunters seem unethical....sad PLATA BITCHEZZZZZZ UPGRADE UNAVAILABLE The Rolling Stones said it best... Anonymous Coward User ID: 78022619 United States 12/02/2019 02:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No torturing is never the way to kill off an animal. Wounding happens, then when you get to the deer a quick killing shot, wether bow (arrow) or firearm. You want up close and personel, slicing the throat with a sharp knife will work. These assholes knew what they did wasn't right. In the midwest town of about 18,000 I hunt in these guys and their families would be treated worse than lepers, and they should be. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72530568 This is more fodder for the eventual outlawing of hunting. Apparently they wounded a deer (or found a wounded deer) and the dumbasses claimed they didn't have any more ammo with them, or even a knife, so they proceed to kick the deer in the head and eventually rip its antlers off. They claim they had no other option, but I call bullshit. No one goes hunting without extra ammo, and at the minimum a knife. How did they intend to gut a deer to begin with? Their whole story is just them trying to get out of trouble, now that they have the entire county pissed off. The part that makes me know these two are pieces of shit is they were laughing the entire video. I don't normally get involved with shit like this, but this goes far beyond normal behavior. These two need to be punished for this. Agreed. How is it even possible to go deer hunting without a knife? How were they planning to field dress it? I call BS on their story too. |
