I've been disabled most of my life but managed to work productively most of it. As part of the process of starting SS I had to do a one hour interview on the phone. I pointed out that I had tried to apply online and the system kept putting me through the disability qualification questions...... She explained that "re-qualifying" for disability was part of the process....I told her that it felt like she was trying to find some fraud or error in my disability to take money from me...."Oh no, that's not it at all". The man that owns this property and the old house trailer that I spent a year rebuilding quit charging me rent about 8 years ago because "I do more for him than anyone else". Rent used to be $60 for an RV spot with hookups that I used for the first couple years. Then when I suggested I could fix the house trailer to use for storage he suggested another $40 for that, total of $100 a month. As repairs progressed I started living here. Then later he canceled my rent. Long story short I just got a letter from SS that I earned $100 from "self employment" every month I got disability... After 2 calls today it finally comes out that they are deducting my "rent" as income...WTF? There never was a rent agreement for the last 9 years. This fucking bitch gov't employee is just trying to justify her fucking existence by fucking people.... Fucking Bitch. What confuses me is that if I had been paying rent it would have been deducted from my pension.....which would have been an increase to my disability payment. So how the hell does my helping the landowner make me liable for $100 a month? I now owe SS disability $450. Not the whole $100 a month for the 26 months I drew it but they want $17.50 per month paid back. They take $100- $65=$35 and take half of that or $17.50. You know it had to be some fucking liberal democrat that signed this bullshit into law..... Yes I am appealing but it is such a waste of time. Fucking Bitch interviewer at SS fucked me for $450 just to justify her worthless existence. I'm pissed. I had my own business but signed it over to my wife because I was completely addicted on opioids (like 300 oxy per month prescribed). I had good medical records and was able to finally get benefits of like 1400 a month. 4 years later and the ssa decided that the one year the business made a profit ( i was not emplyed or earning any money from it) had deemed me overpaid so now they are withholding my monthly check for about 10 months to pay it back. And i cant work to replace the money im losing. The whole issue is because an accountant still had me listed as the owner of the business. I was poor before but now I am uber screwed. I'm trying to amend my taxes and hope it works out. |

If you can trade any sort of "work" for value ... their attitude is that you are scamming the "Disability" payment scheme, whether it is the government, workers compensation, or even private disability insurance. |
