I'm not a veteran, but I am a hunter, and I know that the gauge of a shotgun, the type of ammunition being fired, and the type of choke used will all impact how deadly the shot is at a predetermined range and whether or not it will leave an exit wound, thereby leaving blood splatter on a wall or floor.

For instance, it would be highly irresponsible of me to use a 12-gauge shotgun with deer slugs as a home defense weapon because if I miss, those slugs will go through walls like paper, potentially hitting a family member in another room instead of the intruder. Even if I hit the intruder, the slug will fully penetrate, leave an exit wound, and potentially hit something or someone else behind the intruder, albeit at reduced velocity. This is called "being a responsible firearms owner."

None of this information from the event is publicly available at the time of this posting, some moron claiming there should have blood on the wall behind either of the victims without knowing that information is no different than all the other would-be conspiracy theorists who claim every event on the planet is a "false flag" within minutes of it occurring, absent any information other than a Twitter post.
