Thanks for your prayers. Schools and Govt workers "walang pasok" meaning cancelled throughout NCR and Region 3 (where I live). Hoping no catastrophic eruptions on scale of Alert 5. Ash cloud is spreading North to my viciniy (Region III).

Note Lake Taal is a super volcanic caldera with potential for Mt. Pinatuba size eruption.

It can produce pyroclastic flows endangering thousands of lives. Not only that, it is producing fatal levels of CO2 and Sulfuric acid. Greta Thunderg is having a meltdown because of it. Shows you Mother Nature is far more dangerous than humans..

So the main crater lake collapsed already? On what can be seen from that youtube vid. Water dont mix well with lava.

Authorities remind residents and the public to heed warnings from the local government authorities as Taal Volcano continues to spew ash.

Based on the 6 a.m. situational report, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council says a total of 966 families or 7,742 persons are taking temporary shelter in 38 evacuation centers.

It says that appropriate government agencies are ready for disaster response and that the local government continues with the conduct of evacuation of residents in affected areas.

The Department of Transportation says a total of 286 flights have been suspended on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, due to the volcanic ash from the imminent eruption of Taal Volcano.

This thing is really going off now.

There are live streams coming from Taal again and they are near/above the lakeshore line. Whatever "live stream" camera that was supposedly destroyed must have been on the island in the lake itself...if it was damaged at all.

Wait a minute I was watching that and some kind of alarm went off on one of those feeds - another 4. in Puerto Rico?
WTF man, earth is moving.

Phivolcs says Alert Level 4 will be up over Taal Volcano due to magmatic eruption and lava fountaining past 2 a.m. on Monday, adding Alert Level 5 may be raised within the next few days.

Alert Level 5 (Hazardous Eruption Ongoing) would come with an eruption column of up to 15 kilometers high and could bring a base surge, which Phivolcs describes as thick smoke and ash that could travel across the surface of Taal Lake.

Phivolcs adds a volcanic tsunami is possible in case of an eruption.

Alert level may be downgraded if activity becomes "less intense," Phivolcs says, adding it has Quick Response Teams deployed and observing the volcano.
