EVERYONE, even the scumbags that shouldn’t have them have the right, And really we should have everything available to us that the Government has......equal footing type of thing, since it’s hard to impose your will on the public if We The People are as well armed as they are. NOW, that being said.... The 2A in its current state is still something to defend to the death considering that any laws passed without the people voting on them are not valid in my opinion.... Book I of The Law of Nations, Chapter XIX, § 212 (Joseph Chitty numbering) – “Citizens and natives” reads: 'The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights.' 1758 Emerich de Vattel Oh' What the Hell, do I look like I want to die in some nursing home one day... If Canterbury takes the reins at ATF, it's over for 2A. This guy will ram through the entire Soros-Bloomberg gun confiscation scheme. Quoting: Where Eagles Dare The Bloomberg-funded, gun-control organization bashed the nation’s gun lobby for giving away 1,000 MagPul 30-round magazines Monday at the Virginia statehouse. The giveaway was in protest to a bevy of legislation Democrats hope to pass in the coming weeks and months that will restrict one’s right to keep and bear arms in Old Dominion. “In an attempt to intimidate lawmakers and subvert the will of voters, the NRA gave away dangerous high-capacity magazines – similar to those used in the country’s deadliest mass shootings – to random civilians at the Virginia statehouse today,” said Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. Moms Demand Action is an offshoot of Everytown. It, along with Mayors Against Illegal Guns, merged to form Everytown in 2013. “The NRA’s outrageous behavior underscores precisely why its agenda has been rejected at the ballot box in Virginia and across the country,” Watts added. While the mag giveaway was a stick in the eye of the gun prohibition lobby, anti-gun legislators in the Senate Judiciary Committee advanced four bills today. If there’s good news to come out of Richmond, it’s that what is arguably the most controversial bill, Senate Bill 16, was withdrawn from consideration at the 11-hour, according to WHSV. Sponsored by Sen. Richard Saslaw, SB 16 would expand the definition of so-called “assault weapons” and ban their possession as well as the selling or transfer of any ammunition feeding device capable of holding more than 10 rounds. Very fitting place to lay down a red line for liberty. Quoting: thinking... For the longest time I've seen every suggestion that 'X' could be the spark to ignite the next civil war and thought 'no, nothing would happen'. I couldn't even picture any hypothetical situations that had a reasonable chance of happening that would trigger a domestic conflict. With all of those situations and scenarios, I thought people will bitch, but in the end they'll sit on their ass, not do anything, and just...let it happen; like they always do. But with Virginia, shit actually has a small chance of going down. I NEVER thought I would see law enforcement stand up and say 'fuck you we will not comply' in enforcing an unconstitutional order coming down from the government, but some of their sheriffs have done just that. I couldn't imagine counties actually setting out guidelines to 'make regular' the militia and begin to discuss the practicalities of sending out the call if they were needed. I couldn't foresee counties officially putting forth declarations that the unconstitutional laws will not be enforced there and do not apply. If the gun-grabbers do not back down and they go full tyrant on this, I could actually imagine organized resistance. There are a lot of people who believe that the once the 2nd amendment goes, we will lose everything else VERY quickly. And there are also many people who think that if a precedent for gun confiscation is set in Virginia, then it will happen everywhere after that. That means many, many people truly believe that their fundamental liberty and their future as free men and women is at stake here, and if the government proves their fears were founded by sending in armed troops to go door to door, then many of those men and women may act in their own defense. I would hope our president would get involved to stop this, as a local government subjecting its population to actions that violate their fundamental civil rights as stated in the Bill of Rights is indeed a federal matter (like it was when federal government went into the south to force desegregation and dissolve institutional discrimination). It is not only his option to do something, it is his DUTY to prevent the local government from denying citizens the rights enshrined in our constitution. But I fear he will continue to stay silent on this and not do anything. I hope I'm wrong, though. =( Last Edited by KonspiracyKitty on 01/14/2020 07:25 AM |

What happened to your bold campaign proclamation that the long "8 year assault against the Second Amendment" was finally over? I'm really concerned about what the consequences of Trump's bump-stock ban might be. He unilaterally redefined what a 'machine gun' is. Before that, a machine gun was defined by a very specific definition of how the trigger group functioned. A machine gun was a gun capable of firing MULTIPLE rounds with a SINGLE trigger pull, period. It had nothing to do with how fast you can shoot through a magazine or anything else; it was a technical definition concerning the mechanics of its fundamental design. But that's been thrown out the window. Now it has nothing to do with amount of rounds fired per pull. Now, a gun that fires just once per trigger pull can be a machine gun. So you know what that means? Any semi-automatic is now a stroke of a pen away from being outlawed as a machine gun. There is no longer a technical definition of machine gun. It is now completely subjective. A 'machine gun' is whatever the person in power says it is. That's fucking TERRIFYING. Last Edited by KonspiracyKitty on 01/14/2020 07:42 AM |

Then, we need to kill the term "high capacity magazine". 30 round magazines are STANDARD capacity magazines. And then we need to question why it is a legitimate practice to allow police to carry such weapons along with "high capacity" magazines because they then become a standing army that could be used against the citizens.
