I bought a neat little AM/FM/SW radio that is battery operated. I can get a couple of stations in NYC and Boston (I'm in DC) on the AM, but not much on the SW.

It came with a long flexible antenna, but I'm not sure how best to rig that up in an apartment. Any suggestions? TIA.

Here is a loop antenna for the AM band. You can buy a FM antenna. You are going to have terrible interference in the city.

AM reception at night will likely be what you listen to.

In a year, there could be thousands and thousands of orphans. I sincerely doubt many American ladies will be working. We will need even require them to care for American orphans.

I doubt the public schools reopen. There will be no childcare. Few women will be able to work unless single and childless.

Many men may die and there not be anyone to marry single women and widows.
