I don’t care if you have a genius iq, there are just some things that you will never understand unless you are a billionaire.

IMO, being poor and indolent should be made as difficult and incomfortable as possible, as incentive to drive people towards self-improvement. That does not mean active cruelty but it does mean removing the safety hammock that many poor have come to recline in. I gues that would make me of the Ben Franklin camp. He said: "I am for doing good to the poor, but...I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. I observed...that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.” I agree with that. The easier being poor become, the more poor we will have. Of course, there are circumstances people find themeselves in that are beyond their control and there should be some mechanism in place to assist them. However, the vast majority of poor remain that way because of a lifetime of poor decisions on their own part.

Bloomberg's policies in the past and his statements will keep him from winning the Dem primary...and would absolutely crush him if he went toe-to-toe with Trump.

He was toast before he entered the race.

The poor and middle class already pay most of the taxes.
As wage earners, they are not able to pass the taxes to other people like the rich do that include the taxes in the products and services they sell.

The poor and middle class pay federal taxes everytime they buy something.

He is saying that taxes hit poor people harder because they have less money in the first place which is true.

He also says he wants to tax things that are bad for them to buy such as sugary soft drinks so that they live longer.

The idea is that they wont buy it if it eats up too much of the little money that they have.

It shouldn't be a politicians job to intrude on every aspect of a persons life.
