This makes me laugh a lot, because now she lives not too far from me and is facing hard times, just like me and other italian citizens. (But she misses her country a lot).

She is from Melbourne (well... In reality she is italian, but her family went to Australia many years ago. So now she has two citizenships).

She told me that Melbourne and all the territories around the city went under a lockdown very early (as soon as the positive cases looked to grow up).

(Her family owns a big agricultural business somewhere near Melbourne... I really don't know how Australia is , in terms of regions and territories...)

Did Australia "defeat" (or tried to) the pandemic with strong lockdowns in early phases?
