Are YOU STILL EATING TAKE OUT CHINESE FOOD?

I prefer the Thai food my boyfriends family buy.

I gotta carbon steel wok and an assload of recipes and ingredients. Therefore: fuck no.

There's no REAL chinese food where I live, anyway.

I make my own.

Personally i'd avoid any contact around Chinese people, especially the food which is dodgy by any description.

I'd also avoid anyone who buys and eats that shit.

circa 1990, snl did a short film/dark comedy sketch in black and white about a creepy dark sushi restaurant that opens in a back alley. comedian kevin nealon (mr. subliminal man) saunters in and orders sushi at the bar. then they show the sushi chef suspiciously looking at his wife and around the restaurant to see if anyone is coming in. his wife locks the door, turning the 'closed' sign around on the door. then they show the sushi chef reeling kevin in on a hook and fishing line over the counter, as he struggls in pain, then succumbs. then they showed it later on and there are chopped human fingers on a platter in the sushi display case at the bar.

i only saw this once but i never forgot it. today, they'd be sued by the chinese/japanese chamber of commerce in every American city

it's never appeared on youtube and i've been looking for a copy of it ever since it originally aired. I think they only aired it once. pretty sure utube would pull it if anyone would ever upload it.

Yes. However, I now know what places to avoid when it comes to "chicken". I had my doubts.

I love all international foods. I don't think Chinese restaurant employees make enough money to travel back and forth from China. I will probably continue to go to one local place once a month.

No. We are purposefully staying away. Whole Foods family here.

I mentioned this to a coworker last week and I got looked at like i was talking nonsense. I don't eat Chinese anyway so no loss here.

Yes, of course, there is absolutely a danger by eating from Chinese Food places right now.

Remember, a lot of Chinese families have their parents and grandparents living with them.

Any of them could be traveling from China or be near those who have.

Many don't, that is true. They still have the old countries cleanliness habits--ad that is enough to keep me out of those.

Lol we were talking about going out for dinner tonight, the Mandarin is our usual stuff-your-face venue. Neither of us have any desire to go there now.

We go "to fourth street" twice a month to stuff our faces but haven't been back since after Christmas
