I went to the doctors office today because I’ve had a cough for a few days now with wheezing and tightness in my chest. While in the waiting room i noticed that many people were there with the same symptoms as me. At the reception desk the first thing I was asked was have I been out of the country in the past 30 days, and have I been in contact with anyone who has been out of the country. I was diagnosed with bronchitis and put on an albutural inhaler, a pill form of cough medicine and azythromician for an antibiotic. I decided to ask my doctor about his thoughts in the corona virus and what he expects to happen in the USA. I was told that he has been seeing a lot of pneumonia, bronchitis and severe coughs. He expects the corona virus to spread here but doesn’t expect it to be as severe as it is in China. RedDevil3056 |

Everything that was told to us before was reiterated again today. It was stressed again to get a flu shot if you have not already. Quoting: RedDevil3056 It is very odd that the flu shot keeps being brought up. Could the flu shot have something in it this year to counteract the Corona Virus? Thank you Op! I jumped on the thread to ask you and you already beat me to it. Not sure about the flu shot having protective qualities. I’ve heard various opinions most negative about flu shot. No facts though either way. Follow your gut. They do push flu shot a lot in New England. Maybe they think it will calm nerves? Make sure they’re giving proper equipment. Any new cases on the down low? Stay safe!!!! I have not heard of any other cases but have seen an uptick again in EAS testing at odd times of the day. Also have seen some “government vehicles” in my travels which I don’t normally see. RedDevil3056 |

I will give out as much information as possible below. To start I work in LE and the briefing was out of the ordinary. Quoting: RedDevil3056 We were all told that if we didn’t get a flu shot then we should get one ASAP. This topic was brought up multiple times over the 30 minute meeting. Next we were told that should the Coronavirus explode as it had in China to expect to work up to 16 hour days and possibly work 6 days a week. Another topic discussed was civil disobedience. Plans are in place for just about every circumstance you could think of as well as many more quarantine camps are being readied. I’ve kept an eye on this thread since you posted it. I would expect cases to start increasing soon now that Mass. can start testing. [link to www.wcvb.com (secure)] Stay safe out there. |

I assume that is all you are comfortable saying and we appreciate it. This aligns what I figured would be the case. I’m still trying to figure out if it will be city, county or state level. I guess it could be concentric rings. OP, I found this and was going to pass to you, which is how I found you updated. This means either it is Covid in hiding or if legitimately the flu then the health services are already stretch thin. The flu has hit Massachusetts and the Northeast really hard this year. I myself am just getting over bronchitis. I still find it odd that it is being entrenched in us to get the flu shot if we haven’t yet. I would also expect more covid numbers to jump in the northeast as Massachusetts has been authorized to lab test for corona virus. RedDevil3056 |

AC, I think they’ll quarantine by cluster outbreak city then county then state. Small to large. Looks like west coast first. Funny thing is most people around here are still thinking this is a joke. Humans are strange sometimes. No instincts any longer. RD play it safe. And try to shower right after shift. Pretend you have poop all over you and scrub. Virus is sticky. Bag your clothes up. And you might want to look into Chaga mushrooms. I make tea with the chunks in the crockpot. It’s anti viral! Buy wild organic. Canada or Maine. Can find on Amazon. Easy recipes on internet. Tastes great. I drink in am and pm. Best to you both. SkyTraveler |
