Expat living in Mendoza province and I concur that there's no coronavirus doom here. No masks, no panic. I did buy some disposable masks this week just in case. Today I'm ecstatic that I had the courage to leave the US and move to the southern hemisphere.

However, all my family and friends back in California have been sick on and off with colds/flus since November until now.

Every single country in the world is infected, and every single of them is not reporting cases for a damn good reason : if they confirm the REAL number, their economy is TOAST.

US and EU can afford to confirm some cases (obviously the hide the real numbers) because US and EU are rich and can afford small hits.


But South American countries? Dude, if tourism stops in Brazil, Brazil collapses...and with it, the rest of South America.


Brazil have hundreds of cases...but they cannot report even ONE...because if they do, they have to report more. because you can't fucking have ONE case only.
