Something like large bank failures in Europe/China, or some kind of armed conflict. No telling where the market could bottom if something like that gets triggered. If some other global shockwave happens when the world is in such a weakened state, then all bets are off. That could trigger a serious global depression, like way worse than 1929, cause there's a hell of a lot more people on earth now. If we can avoid some other black swan, I think the recovery will be pretty quick in the stock market. It could be back near the highs within a year.
