Odd tight formation for it not being an airshow.

Came right over downtown Waco, never seen that before.

They were moving ENE at were extremely low altitude. Only time I've seen anything close to this was when W was president and had his ranch out side of Waco in Crawford. But even then, it was just one that flew in a pattern around the perimeter of the ranch. These 6 were in formation and were moving...

I would speculate that maybe they were rehearsing for an airshow. But when there's been an airshow in town before and they've rehearsed, you hear and see them for throughout the day. Not the case, this time

East and they were in and out of a low cloud deck, so they couldn't be more than a couple thousand feet up

Got lucky that I was sitting at home on my back porch since I'm working from home right now. Heard them coming about 3 seconds before they went overhead and snapped a quick pic. If I'd have been inside, they'd have been long gone before I even made it outside

Crisis averted. Apparently it was the Blue Angels taking off after refueling and they gave Waco a little flying demonstration on their way out. Pretty cool!
