I work for a major drug store chain. I just received my papers today that allow for me to travel back and forth for work.

Also received our traveling papers today. Not a joke.

I guess the papers are more or less so you guys can travel after or before curfew hours, but that we're not going to be totally housebound in a lockdown, no????

I've been a member of the medical reserve corps since 2012. We used to be part of fema but command was transferred to the department of hhs some years back as fema got their own reserve structure. We were placed on standy alert early February. No change in status since. Lots of info since, but no status change. We can always drive through any emergency disasters situations so I'm not surprised papers weren't sent out declaring such ability.. However, if checkpoints or wild stuff for a medical quarantine were being setup we'd most certainly be given 48 hour notice. At this point, folks are being asked to stay out of public buildings and not congregate, feel free to walk jog go to park etc. Nothing about restraining movement or checkpoints has come out to us, at least not here in Ohio. There is forced indoor lockdown coming monday in Ohio at least, or we'd be busy working out maps, loading n packing thermometers, masks, bunny suits, defensive security items, etc.

Really? I work for a major retailer with a warehouse somewhere in California and we got an exemption by the local government to stay open as they want to keep the ports open. Our folks don't have to carry papers and we have several hundred.

I work for a security company and was given my paperwork allowing me to travel during a lockdown during the national emergency. Doesnt meaning its coming but does mean companies and the dhs are planning for it.

My wife works in healthcare, working right now at a hospital, and has received none of these notifications.

The security staff in the building we live in in DTLA has also been issued papers as 'Essential' workers. Was told this yesterday from one of our friendly 24 security guys that man our lobby. We wanted to know that they would still be here to protect our building in case things go south.

I wish people would post what state they are in, IF they are receiving papers. Think that would help to clarify the fact or fiction pretty rapidly. For example, I live in SWPA...my wife is a nurse, and has received no notifications (although, there are rumors)

Papers going out to Fedex drivers in the West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky area.

What part of the country? Lucky you. Clearwater here, and our complex closed down the pool and exercise room, AND the office, and will only do emergency maintenance at this point. This is fairly big place, used to see them driving around in their carts all day long, now I don't see them at all. If this shutdown drags on, this place will fall apart.

If your healthcare company hasn’t informed you yet they will. My wife is a nurse in my city and her clinic informed them yesterday at the end of work. It’s happening.
