The stores are starting to be stocked normally again.
Isopropyl alcohol and TP hard still hard to find for the
time being. But I agree nothing wrong with stocking up.
I will hit the store Tuesday before everyone gets their
food stamps. Food might be gone for week after that. The
supply chain seems to be getting back to normal.

Our local Kroger and Publix are looking better as well. Meat, bread, canned goods, dairy fully stocked, but flour, TP, paper towels and sanitizing stuff are bare.

I hope our Publix gets back to normal soon. They were out of all chicken & ground beef. They didn't even have any Steak-ums or frozen chicken.

Let me guess: The “goat lady’s” primary language isn’t English.

A few years ago I was away from home for a couple of months. I couldn't understand how I got a two hundred dollar water bill for one month. My neighbor told me while I was gone that the *goat lady* came with her herd and set up camp for a few weeks and used my water hose. Haha I just couldn't believe it.

You’re an ignorant idiot. The poster who referred to poultry being processed in China is 100% correct. Several years ago (under Obama, I believe) a law was passed allowing poultry producers to omit stating on the packaging where their products were processed, a gift to China. Do some damn research before you show your cluelessness.

Alot of our produce is imported and OP isn't kidding about Americans not being willing to harvest produce. We can't even process our own chickens here, those were shipped to China for processing.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18403906

For fucks sakes this is a stupid fucking lie, lie, lie - you think they ship all those fucking chickens to port - sail them across the ocean - in comfy climate controlled containers, who feeds and waters them? Then they unload, truck - slaughter, package, refrigerate, ship back to port, load in AC shipping containers and all this is done so you can have your chicken for purchase at Walmart.

That is possibly the most retarded stupid line of non thinking bullshit NPC regurgitated nonsense I have ever heard.

I mean really. Grow a brain moran.

Virus peak is !7 April.
Food supplies will last well past that. The problem will be shipping.
You need to have 2 weeks of food and supplies at home.

Re: Food shortages
I hope people are preparing for the upcoming food shortages and not just sitting on their ass thinking that things will get better.

What many aren't thinking of if the national lockdowns continue for another 3 months or so then farmers will not have access to cheap migrant workers to pick the crops. Meaning the crops are going to rot in the field because I seriously doubt many American's will give up their four months of unemployment in order to go out into the hot sun and pick corn for 5 dollars an hour.

Also today I made sure to hit the grocery store early in the morning and I was one of the first persons in the door. And let me tell you the shelves were bare. So please don't think its just a bunch of stupid hoarders hoarding all of the toilet paper and canned goods when it is not. The shortages are coming from somewhere up top. I don't know if its because most of those products are from overseas or some illuminati assholes are artificially restricting the supply of beans, rice, canned goods, flour and toilet paper.

So take this warning and do something to prepare. If you have a yard till up the fucker and plant a garden like your life depended on it. Also if you have space consider getting chickens. Just do anything to prepare instead of being like the average dumb ass in my neighborhood that isn't doing shit to prepare. Think ahead of the sheep and don't wait until you are sitting at the table with your kids without a damn thing to eat.

Anyway take care brothers/sisters and hopefully we can all make it through this shit show together.

The empty shelves are really hit or miss. I have friends across the US; in Florida things seem to be the best, everything is well stocked. But in other areas like the Philly burbs friends have been sending me pictures of shelves completely cleaned out, especially the meat section.
 Quoting: Shaun Kaven

Don't make the mistake and assume that since your stores are stocked that they are that way everywhere. And that they will stay that way.

In Central Texas there hasn't been toilet paper, beans, rice, flour, canned goods in stock with sufficient supplies for at least 2 weeks.

I did manage to enter my grocery store early in the morning after work. I was about the 30th person in line with a line that wrapped around the store. And when I got to the shelves of the products that I needed they were mostly bare and what they had wouldn't even last for 30 minutes before even that was gone.

So for the next few weeks I plan on waiting in line after work for close to two hours so that I can stock up on rice, beans, pasta, potatoes for seed, and the ultimate survival item in this area... toilet paper.

Same in south jersey. Our shelves have been bare for weeks( I've even made a post w pics about it) and I've been documenting it. I think its really.important , if you have stuff in your area, to GRAB IT NOW!!! My best advice to you is just because your store is fully stocked right now, doesnt mean you wont nd up like us. This is real and it's happening all over. I'm actually surprised my area is empty, as I figured not many were "awake", but boyyyy did I judge wrong! Even our produce is out!!

Matthew 6:9-13 King James Version (KJV)

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Re: Food shortages
If you are in an area where things are still being shipped - please look into hydroponic systems.

Upside and downside:

microgreens grow in 10 days vs 30 days for lettuce. Way more nutrients and immune system support.

"hydro"ponic systems rely on nutrients from China - ooops.

"Aqua"ponic systems do not.

They take a lot of electricity.

They can be moved outdoors.

Takes some money to start it up.

They rely on seed, which you will need a source for.

50 lb bags - can feed a lot of people.

A tray of microgreens will last in the fridge a week.

Some of them can be transferred to another garden system and grown to harvest.

**Mushroom spores - grow in 10 days.

Chickens - infinite food source. 2 chickens per family member will produce enough eggs. In the right temp, eggs can be stored for a year.

Choices can still be made if the mail system is still running.

Be safe.

Help if you can.
