Alot of our produce is imported and OP isn't kidding about Americans not being willing to harvest produce. We can't even process our own chickens here, those were shipped to China for processing. Then they unload, truck - slaughter, package, refrigerate, ship back to port, load in AC shipping containers and all this is done so you can have your chicken for purchase at Walmart. Just do anything to prepare instead of being like the average dumb ass in my neighborhood that isn't doing shit to prepare. Think ahead of the sheep and don't wait until you are sitting at the table with your kids without a damn thing to eat. Same in south jersey. Our shelves have been bare for weeks( I've even made a post w pics about it) and I've been documenting it. I think its really.important , if you have stuff in your area, to GRAB IT NOW!!! My best advice to you is just because your store is fully stocked right now, doesnt mean you wont nd up like us. This is real and it's happening all over. I'm actually surprised my area is empty, as I figured not many were "awake", but boyyyy did I judge wrong! Even our produce is out!! |

Upside and downside: microgreens grow in 10 days vs 30 days for lettuce. Way more nutrients and immune system support. "hydro"ponic systems rely on nutrients from China - ooops. "Aqua"ponic systems do not. They take a lot of electricity. They can be moved outdoors. Takes some money to start it up. They rely on seed, which you will need a source for. 50 lb bags - can feed a lot of people. A tray of microgreens will last in the fridge a week. Some of them can be transferred to another garden system and grown to harvest. **Mushroom spores - grow in 10 days. Chickens - infinite food source. 2 chickens per family member will produce enough eggs. In the right temp, eggs can be stored for a year. Choices can still be made if the mail system is still running. Be safe. Help if you can.  |
