He was absolutely right. The captain was stupid for letting his crew go ashore in Viet Nam, and for going outside the chain of command. Saying that was pretty stupid on his part, though. You'd think he would have learned better than that as he worked his way up the ladder.

Wouldn't surprise me if some Chinese agents got wind of them docking in Vietnam, and purposely infected some sailors to cause an outbreak on that ship.

I listened to the audio and found absolutely nothing wrong with what Modly said.

It WAS a stupid thing for the captain to do and there wasn't name-calling per se, just the use of the word stupid which was an appropriate adjective used to describe the action.

So now the Navy is too PC to call out a stupid act as stupid? WTF?!

This is not the news here. it's the openness that Modly shared that we are great threat of hypersonic attacks. This is nuts.
