If it jumps one more time, your butts are in the streets. I am sick and tired of your activities, your cat, and your untruths with me. I will call you tomorrow, if you are home, so you can explain a lot of things to me, because I am sick and tired of your bull...shit. Good night.” |

You have to understand the racial issues in LA at the time, though. It was HIGHLY segregated. Like, when my mom went to get her hair done at the Baldwin Hills mall, it was ALL black. Even the health food restaurant was all black. In the valley, the white teachers were really upset that they were trying to bus in black Americans from LA proper. One white teacher even tried to break my neck. I still have a big knot on the back of my neck from the ordeal. Much different times back then in LA. We're talking 99 cent chinese food kind of LA! You really have to understand the context. |

Was like war was about to break out at any moment. Very intense, I have been feeling similar feelings with this lockdown. Tensions are building and WILL break loose one way or another. |

Was the 29th the worst day of the riots? Also, I fucking love sublime. Favorite band growing up. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77752120 The story goes that Bradley got it wrong but it sounded so good they decided to just go with it. |

They were holding us underground because above ground was rioting, looting and arson. I was going to a banquet where I was going to get an award. I was dressed in high heels and an evening gown. The last time I attempted to use mass transit. I only remained in CA for two more years and then moved back to civilization. |
