well .. welcome here... I haven't toured the Golden Brewery in a long time nor had any of its bear.. but I did once like some of it. The western sector of this city is probably more affordable than the eastern sector... and Golden itself sits next to mountains...

Stay away from northern Golden area (between Golden and Boulder). Too close to Rocky Flats. Newer development there but uranium stays around for a while.
Lakewood area between and Alameda the west side of Kipling is not bad.

Golden is to close to Denver. It's just like Commiefornia. You probably will not be moving to an improved life. The whole area is a high altitude socialist paradise. You have to at least 50 miles away to see the real world. On the up side, the mountains there are the greatest. Once you get away from the greenies, there is no place like the rocky Mountains.

Colorado is basically the same now. Nothing but stoned hipsters looking for a score. You gotta drive way out into the weeds to find a real American anymore.

You'll love it.

You can lease a new tacoma for pennies now - $150 per month. Use the cash you woulda spent to trade stock options :P. My brother learned in about a year and is already making $10k per month after starting with $20k.

The Applewood area is quite nice, as are parts of Denver West.
