If You Ever Travel Again, Don't Expect Breakfast At The Hotel Anymore | |

The only reason I even started ponying up extra money for a nicer stay was because the free breakfast keeps my family from blowing $80 on ihop breakfast. Extra $40 on a room saves $40 on breakfast. I’ll go back to motel 6 without the free breakfast. They’ll figure it out. If anything, I bet the included amenities get nicer as they try to encourage people to travel again. |

Quoting: D12345 I agree. It is all coming back and better. Large hotels will figure out soon enough people will stay in a motor inn off the highway for less if they don't get more from bigger nicer hotels. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 54469829 One new development - no more hotel breakfast. Stayed at a Drury Inn which in the past was known for a good buffet breakfast, evening cocktails, and evening hot bar. Now, all gone. Management says it will never come back. So many things will never be the same after this. Mountain lodge I stay in yearly will now deliver breakfast to us. I actually like the idea. |

We shut down our buffet about 4 weeks ago and now all we offer is bottled juice, coffee, and Nutrigrain bars at the front desk. I don't see it coming back anytime soon. Guests are pretty understanding but still I think we should have reduced the room rates. We have been running 1-3% occupancy a night for the past month but are up to 8% (9 rooms) tonight. WooHoo. |

So many things will never be the same after this. None of those free breakfasts were ever worth the extra price. The coffee is always terrible, the food uneatable. They aren't worth it, I'd rather pay 10 or15 bucks and get a fresh meal at a diner. There are some things out of this horrible event that will be better; I'd say unnecessary crap food is one of them. Calling it a "free" breakfast that is not free. It will be great to have that gone. How about no carpet anymore in hotels rooms, no bedspreads, no cloth draperies? How about strictly regulating hotel pools, so that paying adults can enjoy a swim in a clean sanitary pool area without toddlers with diapers and all manner of chaos. It will be good to have the bars more strictly regulated. Those places are so filthy. A few other positives will come out of this, including a lot more people who brush, floss and use mouthwash more often. |

When I stay at someplace like that I just grab an orange and a yogurt. I don't do buffets, I see the kind of people walking in to buffet places. gross. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 44502948 Same here... traveled for many years. Often over 200 nights per year in hotel. Business class hotels but I saw enough gross shit early on and never went back to he breakfast buffet again. At least I can’t see what goes on behind the walls of a McDonald’s drive through. Just hope someone didn’t spit on my McMuffin. I watched a guy puke up repeatedly on and next to a breakfast buffet... turned around went back to my room - grabbed my suit jacket and briefcase - and as I walked out of the lobby they had already reopened the buffet. No effing way they could have cleaned that mess up so quickly and done it right. Have a nice day = GFY. GFY = Go Fuck Yourself. If this offends you then have a nice day. |

They did not have breakfast and they were super paranoid. They had the guests stay way back from the counter and they had plastic clear sheilds everywhere. It was beyond ridiculous. I wrote them a letter telling them how absurd it all was and that they should look into censored alternative news about this Scamdemic/Plandemic. I will never go to another La Quinta again. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76255328 Now Costco is requiring customers wear masks: [link to seattle.eater.com (secure)] I am done shopping at Costco too. What idiots. LaQuinta lost me as a client. They aren't LaQuinta anymore they were bought buy Windium or whatever they are called and they suck now. Used to be so great. The one at the Denver airport is run by a Mexican gang, it is to funny; serious entertainment! They had a guy at check in who couldn't speak english. The entire gang works there all family and friends creating havoc! I stayed across at the Holiday Inn for 20 dollars less a night and it was great! Watching the action coming and going was hilarious I mean a serious take over of a property! They would park their hot rods in the prime spots and in the Firelane haha I was laughing it up. |

We no longer are allowed to clean stayover rooms they must throw their towels out the door and their trash bags. We hang bagged towels and clean garbage bags on doors. Our breakfast room is closed we only have pre-packaged muffins, Danish and coffee. Our indoor pool is shutdown. We have so few guests now and this would be the beginning of our busy season. Welcome to the NWO.. |
