However, if you receive the $600 CARES Act federal payment attached to your state UI, continue to file because you should still be eligible for it through 7/31. |

Even though I did not claim benefits for a large majority of the year??? |

But you can possibly file a new claim when your old claim expires. You have to have worked enough hours, made enough money since your last claim. What state are you in? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 52969975 I am in New York. The thing is I didn’t receive any money when I initially claimed. I worked all of 2017-19. Was laid off for a week and filed, but was called back to work within a week and never went back on to cancel this claim. So in total I’ve worked for 3 1/2 years steady with no benefits up until this March and have only received about two months worth of benefits |

They view it in the same light as welfare. Of course they are fully employed. As long as they have "theirs" they don't give a shit about the "have nots". |

That’s ridiculous to equate the two as equals. Do they not understand that to be eligible people have to have worked and be taxed weekly paying into such programs. I’ve earned my fucking UI. |

Will it just get extended? Should I wait till Monday to find out? Lot of questions and any help or advice is greatly appreciated. It's impossible to get a rep on the phone so I have no clue what to do. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78562218 Every state has its own rules. No way of knowing |
