Need suggestion for autistic ID son.
I have a son with autism and ID. He is limited verbal. Over the past couple months he is going stir crazy. He is so sad and angry and it is breaking my heart. He tries so hard, and is a neat, clean, law abiding person. He does great following simple procedure to a T once he figures out the whole routine. He is reliable and conscious about doing a good job.

School which he relied heavily on for socialization... gone. So too are his leftist leaning families and friends. Why this is I don't know. Majority of his friends are minorities, but he is white and clueless to politics as so are his friends, To them the president is the president no matter what, Obama or Trump =same. But, their families seem to drink the cool-aid of politics anyways. They are hateful and despising of conservative/ white people in their delusions that white people have it better.

School employment programs for the disabled are cancelled also. So have summer camps for the disabled a severe blow to children like my son.
Another thing,my son has splitter skills. One being he a good violin player. He loves to perform for people and make money. But, because of CV it feels no one will let him come out and street perform so he can make some pocket change for himself.

He likes to use the money to eat out at Subway Subs, buy his own Gold Gym pass, go to the movies, trampoline parks, season pass Amusement/ Fiesta Texas parks and so on.

It gets expensive and we are not a wealth family. In the past he could always support his own interest by simply playing the violin a few hours a week out side a local grocery store. But now no local strip mall will allow him to play. He is not intelligent/ able enough to even work at a sand-which store without a lot of supervision. He is so lonely and are funds so thin to help occupy his time. We can only ride the city buses so many times too, because of buses only allow 16 people on at a time for social distancing. It not fair to ride for entertainment.

Mostly the kids wants to make money right now even with a lot of things still closed that he want to do. He is lonely but industrious. Where else or how else can he play his instrument and mate money doing do? Any ideas. Most people just don't get his limited skills and believe he should just be happy to stay home with nothing to do.

Ideas... please help, my little Forrest Gump.

 Quoting: My Fear

Start a social media group, able to connect others who are lonely and stop in and say gello
, And show your son how fun thus could be. With voice chat and Skype type video, groups could all talk together, share these frustrations, share stories, keep morale up, and if the group is for the parents and caretakers too, thus could be great for sharing ideas to give the best life experiences and opportunities in life to their loved ones.
For example one mother might know of a program or a field trip that is awesome and you would never know about it unless she shared, perhaps it's one state away.
God bless you and your lovingkindness heart and thank you for being a blessing to us all.

Re: Need suggestion for autistic ID son.
He already skypes with a couple of friends and service providers. We also have a coordinated network of services the clog my email. Most of the time they want money too.

My son however wants the ability to make money not just visit with people for activities... that cost money by the way. And currently, no one is visiting but doing ZOOM and Skype.
