He did not get shot in the back for 'just falling asleep in a parking lot' as you persistently state.


He got shot because he fought the officers, grabbed one of their tasers then shot at one of the officers with the taser while running off.

His actions let to the deadly force used.

Did his actions really necessitate deadly force by the officers?

I personally think that the officers could have handled the situation better and that it was not necessary to shoot the perpetrator with deadly force.

He was drunk and clearly stupid. They could have let him run off and catch up with him later to arrest him. Shooting him in that case was heavy handed.

If he had threatened the officer's lives, for example grabbed their firearm and threatened them with it, then the officers would have been justified in shooting him.

However, the perpetrator's actions directly led to the deadly force used, regardless of if that amount of force was justified or not.
