It costs retailers, big time. In 2016, Business Insider estimated that the retailers would lose up to $4.6 trillion thanks to abandoned carts. And the trick seems to be working; Trump store browsers are reporting lines appear to be sold out and in an effort to crackdown on the prank, and customers are limited to three items per person. |

They are basing their model on things like Etsy, Trump would have a better model. This is evident that some were on Twitter bragging & showing their carts with over a billion dollar totals and yet the merch was still available to purchase. If they think it works though, let them go, at least they will stay out of trouble for a short time amusing themselves with their clever ploy. |
