Anonymous Coward User ID: 76288549 United States 06/30/2020 11:45 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Could something good actually come out of this? Most everything else is online! Why don't they just legalize and open up online casinos? Win, win situation! The casinos would STILL be making money. The people laid off wouldn't be without an income either, at least for now. Why is everyone ignoring the $600/week ($2,400/month) that the government is paying out to all people who draw unemployment? That's not ALL they're getting either. That $600/week is in addition to their regular unemployment checks. That, of course, would only help the casinos, not the motels/hotels. Haven't figured out YET how to address that problem. Still, since they haven't shut down all of the apartments across the country, you'd think motels/hotels would be allowed to remain open as well. |

kaibosh User ID: 79057526 Canada 06/30/2020 03:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This mayor, the way she just talks so casually, not even giving Cooper the respect to become indignant at his outrageous chirping... Will opening the casinos prove to be a deadly mistake that costs tens of thousands of people their lives? Perhaps, but in the end they have the choice to take that risk for themselves - assuming they have somewhat accurate information to pass judgement on. And... That is the key to all this, isn't it? The story keeps changing, bizarre schisms in the narrative continually keep *everyone* jaded and suspicious towards the system. I'm not talking about simple R0 rates or all the ways this is a blood disorder on top of killing with typical virus type SARDS. I am not talking about them lying about the masks, covering up malfeasance on China's part, the WHO dancing as puppets of the CCP. I am not even talking about all the twisted political machinations put into play, or the decades old agendas of twisted Illuminati rejects. There are things about this virus, and the illness it causes, that defy all logic and explanation - even when you strip away the myriad of artificial controls and manipulation of the narrative. It is quite possible that nearly everything they have told us as far as the 'bio mechanical' nature of this 'virus' is bullshit from top to bottom - and the reason 'why' almost doesn't matter. The truth is, they are still almost completely in the dark on this thing. In some ways this 'outbreak' is yet another mysterious malady that never does get explained. Remember when thousands of elderly people died of a potent pneumonia in Northern Italy, the hospitals overwhelmed with people slowly dying on ventilators? No, not this one, an unexplained illness that happened several years ago. There have been small and extremely localized outbreaks *very* similar to this all over the place, even in relatively recent times. Serious discussion about those incidents concluded that it was a new form of Tuberculosis or a wildly mutated Legionnaires Disease. We like to think that because all these researchers and doctors with their Billions of dollars worth of technology and equipment write big fancy books full of neato graphs and pictures, they must know a whole lot about how all this works. The truth is, medical science is exactly like every other science - you make a guess, do what you can to test that hypothesis, and until something else makes more sense that becomes the 'agreed upon understanding' of how it all works. Science based on this logic has resulted in shocking technological advancement (which will be the doom of us all, Kaczynski was right on all points I'm afraid), but it can also mean we are believing complete and utter nonsense when it comes to critically important fields. Enough time has passed, and enough resources have been diverted, that we should have an extremely comprehensive understanding of this 'virus' by now. We should know how it spreads in nauseating detail, what prophylactic treatment ensures total 'immunity' to it overwhelming your system. We should have full knowledge as to how recovery from contraction results in antibodies, and how effective they are and for how long. We should have balls on accurate modeling of herd immunity strategies - when combined with proper protocols to isolate those who likely not survive contraction even with working treatments. Everything about the way they have handled this is exactly the worst thing they could have done. They should have been spreading the virus as fast as possible in elementary schools, aggressively isolating people at risk with ruthlessly enforced protocols of PPE for any interactions otherwise. Everyone below the age of 50 and in good health both generally and immunologically should have been given the virus on purpose, as soon as effective early stage treatments were proven. Spoiler alert: they were, from long before this coronavirus. Remember the Chinese semi's loaded with 60 tons of raw Vitamin C powder for IV use, heading for Wuhan in small convoys? You think doctors didn't know all about that, and Zinc, all the Quinine derived stuff, the right steroids, all in combo with the right anti-biotic? All they have ensured through their tactics is that the exhausted masses will be too numb to properly deal with this when it comes back with a vengeance come Winter. You think the economy is damaged now? 48% unemployment will seem like a laughable dream of yesterday once full scale collapse of the entire infrastructure is upon us. As the recent 'peaceful protesting' has proven beyond anything else, it doesn't matter what the truth is concerning this 'virus'. This is the Final Battle, anyone who doesn't see what is going on is beyond hope I'm afraid. Things are getting dark real quick, and we all better buckle the fuck up because the Chinese curse "may you live in interesting times" seems to be the fate that awaits us. He is beyond arrogant. When he was talking about the crowds in Vegas, I wish the mayor would have mentioned the thousands upon thousands of protesters/looters/rioters that have been gathering for weeks and challenged him as to why he never criticizes them. Also, when he kept referring to the casino owners, she should have come back to him and asked him why he is such an elitist that he does not have sympathy for casino workers who are hurting. I think she did okay but not as good as she should have and did not "wreck" him.
