OP needs to take an airplane ride apparently but probably don't believe airplanes are real either. chuckle

I’ve taken many airplane rides and none has ever done anything to convince me that we live on a globe.

Ever had to reset your watch because you changed time zones? That's clearly evidence for a round earth.

Bits of 'the dome' traveling at 40,000mph is not possible.

Doing your best to ignore this. PROOF you cannot ignore.

Re: I’d bet my life inheritance of $500,000 that the earth is flat
Ok, if you have that kind of cash. Let’s take a trip?

I can’t speak to the fact of one or the other. Never been to space or Antarctica.

Space is to expensive but we can go to Antarctica for less than $500,000.

I’ll go with you OP and I’ll put in 25k.

I’m down to prove this, not debate it on a forum...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73786357

I’m down but on the trip to Antarctica we’d just see increasingly bleak land as far as the eye can see...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77379920

Would that prove it?

How can you prove it without science, physics and mathematics. I thought like they traveled around Antarctica and it was the same distance of the globe, proving that they were really just circling the frozen edge or whatever?

I’m done believing what I’m told. If you want to prove this lets do it! I’m tired of listening to people tell me what I should believe. I have money.

You tell me how we can prove this, and I’ll join you!!

Well, I'm done coz I gotta go to bed. it's 5:30am where I am.

It's been fun OP, good luck and I hope you do one day find an answer. Whatever that maybe.

Bye bye.

It's something that happens that's an obvious result of the Earth being round (and I could name half-a-dozen other observations along the same lines). It's possible on a flat Earth, but you've got to come up with special physics to make what happens on a flat Earth look the same as what happens on a spherical Earth (and ditto for myriad other observations). Why not just conclude that the Earth is spherical?

Re: I’d bet my life inheritance of $500,000 that the earth is flat
So interesting point. I bought the magic 2 air drone and it can take sphere photos. Where it takes an array of images and makes them into a sphere. But if you don’t have the right software, the image is flat... like I tried to send it to a friend and all he got was a flat image. Could be similar to what “flat earth” would be? Idk..

I have no idea. Like I said, I cannot confirm this as everything I have been taught, was with the narrative that the world is a sphere, thereby giving facts and data to support that argument.

I would be interested in proving this once and for all tho

It's in the illuminati card game dumb fuck. Flat Earth. It's a psy-op for basement dwelling retards.

I'll believe it's hollow before I beleve it's flat (of course it's not)

it has an iron core and a magnetic field which is what keeps it in perpetual motion. A giant kinetic motor sorta. It's alive, supports life, has a climate and gravity

Flat earthers are tards. I'll leave you some of your money. Wouldn't want another homeless retard being a danger to the human condition

It's basic geometry. If the Earth is spherical and spins, then at each point on the Earth the Sun will rise, cross the sky, and set on the other side. But also because the Earth is spherical, each point on the Earth will experience sunrise and sunset at a time specific to that point. If you go east, sunrise will happen sooner. If you go west, sunrise will happen later. This is why we developed time zones. If we didn't and everyone in the US used east coast time, this time of year the Sun would rise in California about 9 am and set around midnight. That would be a little confusing.

You can wave your arms all you want, but it's a simple fact that if you travel west, the Sun sets later, and if you travel east, the Sun sets earlier. Anyone who's traveled a couple of thousand miles east or west on a plane can verify this for themselves.

What I'm saying in general is that the spherical Earth theory makes numerous predictions, all of which are borne out in experience. The flat Earth theory can match those predictions, but they have to come up with all sorts of special magical physics to make it happen, while with the spherical Earth it happens as a direct result of the geometry. Some examples of spherical Earth theory predictions:
- If you go farther north, the angle of the Pole Star will tell you exactly how far north you are.
- If you go south, you'll see stars that you can't see from farther north. If you go south far enough, you'll no longer be able to see northern stars at all.
- If you go west, the Sun will set later. If you go east, the Sun will set earlier.
- If you go far enough north in the summer, the Sun won't set at all. If you do it in the winter, you'll see the Sun disappear and not return for months.

Re: I’d bet my life inheritance of $500,000 that the earth is flat
There is no accurate terrestrial globe Earth, none in 500 years.
The depicted size of the landmasses on the ball Earth terrestrial Globes are not accurate, people just assume it is.
On the Earth terrestrial globes you see, land is distorted smaller and smaller going north or south from the equator.

Globe terrestrial Earth degree of longitude at the equator is 69 miles, at 30 degrees north south 60 miles, at 45 N S 49 miles, at 60 degrees N S only 35 miles per degree longitude. No accurate depiction.

In that the noted land mass sizes do not fit on the terrestrial physical globes without distorting them is proof enough that the spinning water ball Earth in a space vacuum theory is not valid.

Earth is flat and non-rotating

How do you know the earth is in motion? We measure the speed of a car, by comparing it to the surroundings. How is the motion of the earth measured, by the stars? By the other planets?

Could it be possible that the stars and planets are revolving around the earth, and not the other way around?

This is the exact argument Galileo was persecuted for.. I believe newton proved this wrong.... But newton also believed he could drink mercury and died...

What you think you know is not truth.. it’s what you were told... If you get upset with someone for believing something different, that’s an emotion reaction. A trigger showing that internally, you’re conflicted.

None of what you said proves the earth is not flat... you have created physics to explain the earth and sun rotations yet I can create a set of physics and apply them to flat earth theory and generate the same result. Why is yours correct and mine is incorrect?

How could one verify this information though. Would I need to measure each continent? You provide the info on lat long but I wasn’t quite able to follow.

Re: I’d bet my life inheritance of $500,000 that the earth is flat
...

But you are describing time, which doesn’t actually exists. Therefore you have created a narrative to support your argument, and I’ve seen the flat earthers create a narrative to support the same argument..

They believe the sun and moon still create cycles. Still creates “time” or a measurable time....

You haven’t proved the earth is flat or round, only that your data, fits the narrative...

Did you not create physics to make your argument? Why could I not make up physics to support my argument?

None of what you said proves the earth is not flat... you have created physics to explain the earth and sun rotations yet I can create a set of physics and apply them to flat earth theory and generate the same result. Why is yours correct and mine is incorrect?

There's no physics in my arguments (unless you want to call the assumption that light travels in straight lines physics). It's all simple geometry.

And, yes, you could come up with some sort of physics to explain how a flat Earth can look like a round Earth, but why complicate matters? Just go with the simplest explanation - unless, of course, you can find an observation that makes more sense with a flat Earth than a round one. But I'm not aware of any of those.

It's actually flat, and round at the same time, and really, really big:

Re: I’d bet my life inheritance of $500,000 that the earth is flat
Ok, if you have that kind of cash. Let’s take a trip?

I can’t speak to the fact of one or the other. Never been to space or Antarctica.

Space is to expensive but we can go to Antarctica for less than $500,000.

I’ll go with you OP and I’ll put in 25k.

I’m down to prove this, not debate it on a forum...

Because it “may” not be the truth... that’s why.. why would I just choose to believe a lie? Because it’s easier?

If I can create physics to explain flat earth, then surly it’s possible... and if it’s possible, then it shouldnt be just immediately discredited and ignored..

I started on this when I learned Galileo was persecuted for what he said. I can point out many times in history when leaders persecuted the truth, because it didn’t fit their narrative.

One could argue this is happening right now in current events..

I’m not saying one or the other. I had an awakening where nothing I feel I was taught is truth. I know nothing...

You make compelling arguments and surely it’s easier to argue it’s a sphere. I’m not looking for easy, I’m looking for the truth.

It’s true. All of you have been lied to for decades about the shape of the earth. If you don’t believe me, see the work of Eric Dubay.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77379920

He is a liar. If the earth is flat, if you are at the ocean, use a powerful telescope to look around, you should be able to see all the mountains around you. But in fact you see nothing but water and sky. Do I have a point?

If you have little common physics knowledge or rational thinking, you should know all planets and stars are perfect spheres. Gravity pulls all masses into perfect balls. Similar to mercury drops.
