the car lot was burned- so was most of the businesses either looted/broken windows damage etc and a lot of fires across city while police protected city center where courthouse is...not a word on msm news channels about it- too busy w/politics like right b4 covid went full blast...

All but 6 of the State Cap cities in the U.S. are run by Dem mayors. 2 of the 6 that are not Dems are worse than Dems if that is possible.

on the other hand should cops be required to let someone fleeing detention, or arrest, enter a vehicle where they can conceal what they're doing and possibly get a weapon

it looks like attempted murder

on the other hand I can see allowing someone like that to enter a vehicle puts the officers in great danger, there is no way they can prevent him from grabbing a gun and shooting them

I initially thought attempted murder, now I tend to think it was justified, they didnt shoot him until he was just about to get into the vehicle

it would help if people were educated about this ... in K-12 we dont have any class where young people are taught how to interact with police and most importantly WHY ... I think here, the cops didnt want to kill him they were forced to do so because otherwise their lives would be at risk

I just watched the video. Was there a gun inside the car? it would help the officer out but yes, not sure legally how they will approach this?

where is the before and after video of why cops were called. If a fruit is going to keep walking, get in his car while officers with guns drawn are giving you orders, THEN STOP AND LISTEN.

Doesnt really look like he was trying to get in the car. Looks like he's reaching for something. Gun? License? Who knows. Where's the bodycam footage? If there was a gun present and the mayor and governor let this go on knowing that he had a gun, that's sickening.

But we all know, that's exactly what a democratic official would do to let this opportunity for social unrest go on for as long as possible.

Jacob Blake, 24, of Racine, was charged Monday in Racine County Circuit Court with one felony count of

Jacob Blakeresisting arrest causing a soft tissue injury to a police officer and one misdemeanor count each of carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a firearm while intoxicated, endangering safety-use of a dangerous weapon, and disorderly conduct. If convicted, he will face up to 8-1/2 years in prison and/or up to $50,000 in fines.
