The US? I thought Sweden wanted him on fake sex charges?
 Quoting: Katipo2017

On 19 May 2017, the Swedish chief prosecutor applied to the Stockholm District Court to rescind the arrest warrant for Julian Assange

No this time allowed to the Prosecution to Re-cross-examine the Defense witnesses.

James Lewis is the US Prosecutor.

Eric Lewis is a witness for the Defense.

Re: Julian Assange's US extradition trial continues in London
United States seems to be involved in Wars all the time a lot of military people want promotions in order to do that they have to go to war of some type so they can demonstrate their skills and abilities so lieutenants can become captains and captains can become majors and Generals want that next star on their collar and defense contractors want the military to buy their stuff so in order for all this to take place we have to have wars, seems like it's a never-ending cycle and as we've seen throughout the years it's not just one war it's a multitude of wars and politicians in bed with defense contractors who give them wonderful gifts of all types. So it seems it's not going to end anytime soon, a Vicious cycle.

About 139 wars of some type that has involved the United States. 1775-Now

Let me rephrase it, Can the prosecution bring Assange to trial in teh US and then drop the charges?

I think the charges were all about getting him into custody but don’t know why Sweden eventually surrendered.

So basically Assange served a year sentence in England for skipping on bail since he was holed up in Embassy. (I believe this was tied to Sweden charges) That year sentence ended in like April. So now he’s in holding pattern with US extradition. Covid delays, etc. You know, any reason to ride out the clock.

Would classifying the previously declassified files in question just blow this whole thing out of the water?

I move for the files to all be made classified so no rules were broken. The chances of that happening with all going truthful and being open with all matters was sure to come anyhow?

Does Julian Assange have a binding legal obligation to obey the US Military?, as this is military information we are talking about and not political or espionage.

Prosecution considers it spying even as they try and hide that argument.

you could ask: should Julian Assange be permanently imprisoned for a mistake in not blacking some names?
Or do you think like the Prosecution; "he just failed to overthrow The US Government enough to get away with it".
