I dunno why people get the flu shot. OK you might be fooled once decades ago then realise it actually GIVES you the flu but to do it again year after year is insanity. My wife was jabbed in hospital. They didn't even tell her it was the flu shot. She thought it was a going home antibiotic and they told her AFTER. She went crazy and the hospital said "don't worry you be fine its hospital policy" ....3 days later. Wife in bed with the flu virtually dying.

I had it six weeks ago. Here was my experience:

I went to work on a Monday with a very slight "tickle" in my throat. I didn't think much of it due to some allergies I get this time of year. Monday evening I started getting the chills. I worked from home Tuesday "just in case". I found out Tuesday evening that a coworker I work in close proximity with had tested positive. I hadn't had any contact with them since the week before. Wednesday I was feeling very weak and ad lost my sense of taste and smell. My employer requested that I go get tested (I did not want to do this), but I am friends with the local clinic people in town. I went up there and asked about the test. They told me their test was made in Illinois, so I figured I would be ok (throat swab). Thursday I was feeling like garbage. Friday I started to feel heavy in my chest. Saturday I broke out the blood oxygen meter. It was reading 95% (normally I'm 98% to 99%. By Saturday evening I was 94% to 95%. Sunday morning I couldn't hardly breathe. I got a call from the clinic that my test was positive. It would take me a breath for each word I spoke.

I knew I probably needed to get medical attention, but I put off going to the ER because I was afraid they would put me on a ventilator right away. By Sunday night I was at a 91% blood ox. My wife convinced me to go to the ER.

I arrived at the ER around midnight. They admitted me to a room right away. The doctor came in and saw me and told me that I would be out of there in no time at all. They hooked me up to an EKG with a lot of wires. They drew my blood. Then they came in and handed me a bottle for a urine sample. When they left the room I tried to get off the bed. I got tangled in the EKG wires and it was literally all I could do to get back up onto the bed. They came back in the room and I tried explaining that I couldn't get off the bed, and they told me it was ok.

They got x-rays of my chest. Then about 15 minutes later came in and took me for a CT scan with contrast die. After the CT the doctor came in my room and told me that I was definitely going to be admitted to the hospital (this scared me).

initially they were going to have to send me to one of their sister hospitals in a neighboring town, due to not having any capacity at that moment. The doctor told me that had 40 covid rooms, and they were all full. He also told me that they didn't have any additional capacity due to staff being out sick with covid.

They ended up transferring me to a different hospital in the same town. They started me on oxygen and an IV. The next Monday morning the infectious disease doctor came in and visited with me. I was able to explain that under no circumstances did I want a ventilator. He had a nurse come in with some paperwork that put that in place. He then went ahead and told me that I was going to be a-ok, and that they had treatments that work great. He told me that he didn't understand what all the fuss was about. Made it sound like it was no big deal at all.

Later that day they came in and gave me the initial doses of the Antiviral Remdesivir (it took two). Tuesday morning they came in and gave me a second does of the Antiviral. Wednesday they came in and gave me a third dose of Antiviral and then gave me a blood transfusion of matched bloodtype that had the covid antibodies in it. By that evening I was feeling MUCH better. Thursday morning they came in and gave me the Antiviral and took me off the oxygen, as I was doing WAY better (blood ox was up to a consistent 95% to 96%. Friday they came in and gave me the Antiviral one last time. They discharged me that afternoon.

I went home and took it easy for the next week. I was very tired all the time. It took a lot to go up or down stairs.

You will be ok. Watch your blood oxygen levels.

Just thought I would tell my story. I hope this helps you.
