While I don’t trust statistics, I can say that the numbers of cold/flu/pneumonia seem to be lower than in a typical, non-covid season. I am a travel nurse and right now I work at a 200+ bed care home on the east coast in a major metro city. We haven’t had a single case in 20 weeks or so. If you look at maps of historical pandemics and the way they seem to spread and travel, they all start out heavy on the coasts and in the major metro areas and then make their way inward to the center of the countries. Middle American. There does appear to be a boom in the middle right now which I predict will quickly die off in a few weeks.
