Again - your employer MUST GIVE YOU LEAVE , to go vote. If election day comes around and you haven't voted , your employer has to give you time to go vote , even if it's only a couple hours so you can go do it then return to work.

I used to vote independently and carefully read and consider each candidate based on issues and regardless of their affiliation.

I live in commie central though in NW Washington State and when I voted in the primaries, I was very careful to vote strictly on Republican party lines, and follow every recommendation that they sent for the unaffiliated positions.

I was laughing at myself the whole time for how perverse it was to do that, but I thought, oh well it's only the primaries.

This time I did it in earnest, I hate the people in government here and the shitty way their fellow Democrats handled the disgusting protests in Seattle, Portland and Minneapolis. Fuck the Democrats for letting those punks burn their cities down and destroy their police forces. It's pathetic, there is no excuse.
