Since when would that statement be made in America? Very worrying. Combined with the fact that there are 30000 troops at the US capital tells you a split in the military or a full blown check-mate by a foreign government. Not good.

I really do not understand why so much fuss is being made here. It's another nothingburger. The word "of" is not clear. But the word "to" is certainly absent, despite what people say on another thread.

In the context of what the general was saying, I see nothing of significance here, although I do wonder why he spoke of a peaceful transition of military power, when it would have been more appropriate to use the word "civilian.
