If it all falls through, it isn't the end of all things, just a few things. The wife will get employed again eventually. Maybe something that sucks for a while. Maybe unemployment insurance for a while. Maybe you lose the house and rent a room or basement or apartment above a garage for a while.
Maybe some days and nights it sucks because none of this is the normal you knew and how in the world did you go from there to here.
I know because I've been there. Definately don't just give up and try your best not to do something irrational that ruins any future prospects or potential. You can get through it, you really can, the thing that sucks is that to get through it... you have to go through it.
