IMEIs aren't transmitted, and anyone with a modicum of paranoia knows how to use a V*N in a private tab. But the big issue is that free email accounts nowadays generally require personal information: in particular a real (non-virtual) cellphone number. GLP happens to block most of the popular _anon_ email accounts for signup. There are a few (rare ones) that slip through the filter. But for someone paranoid, signing up with an account linked to your real phone number can definitely be a deterrent. |
