No this is my first time ever even posting anything on here .not really sure how the “star”rating system works ...
never had anything I felt was wothy enough to share .I’m glad you (and others)feel it’s interesting as well 😁 I actually figured I’d get shot down as posting something fake .thanks for the open minds !
once I examined and enhanced the footage over the weekend I couldn’t believe what I was seeing tbh

What made it stand out?

What drew your attention to the light in the first place?

I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of ufos and live in an area with no light pollution .so I’m always keeping my eye out for strange objects .

This night in particular I stepped out for a smoke around midnight and as you can see in the pic that’s not zoomed in ,well this stood out pretty well on its own .I didn’t have to look too hard .still didn’t think much of it until I broke it down and enhanced the stills

Probly just a geese

OP, I have pics just like those. Multiple objects, and individual frames of each, different shape in each frame. My photo software adjusted for color, and each object was 3 or 4 different colors, like each section or module was different in shape and color.
It looked like they might be rotating, or part of them is. That could explain the different shapes in each frame.

It's a craft with a faulty cloaking device.

Most likely just a star or planet.
They shimmer and appear to change shape like that due to atmospherics.
Also a more exaggerated effect if it's out slightly of focus, or if using cheap camera/optics.
Bright point-source of light, coming through many miles of constantly moving air - a bit like the 'wobbly' view you get of a pebble or something on the bed of a stream with water running over it - same effect.

If you're willing to give your approximate location (such as a nearby city) - time and date - direction and approx height in the sky - Shouldn't be too difficult to tell you which specific star or planet it was.

edited to add:
Using your location flag (Canada) - and you mentioned around midnight.
Jupiter and Saturn would have been in the South-East around midnight a few days ago - the bright star Arcturus would have been to the West - and another bright star Capella, low to the North.

My husband had been seeing these for 2 years. He will suddenly wake up in the middle of the night (usually 3am) and they will be in the sky. He filmed one and it moved so erratically. I kept thinking it was forming letters. They will appear in the same place, then move to a different part of the sky after dimming out. We live in a very rural area, so it is easy to see anything odd in the sky. These things spook me, so I stay inside. So crazy you posted this. I have tried researching these and have turned up very little. Sometimes there will be 3-5 of them in the sky.

I watched your video clip and I have identical clips from the Central Michigan sky earlier this year.

We're so used to seeing these things up here that nobody bothers to video them anymore or take pictures. It's literally a nightly event when the sky is clear.

i have seen them. i have the same video on my phone.

its really cool when they appear to impolde on themselves and then expand in all the bright colors.

i saw them seasonally. in the same location.

and no. it wasnt jupiter or saturn or capella.

i am an amateur astronomer.

dont know what they are.

Are you guys sure it's not some novel kind of fireworks?

it moves erratically. it changes shape and size and color.

i have seen what the OP is describing and showing with the video and pics.
