The viral load in the Delta variant infections are ~1000x higher than that of the 19A/19B strains infections back in the initial wave of 2020. If they're finding that the load is the same as the original strain than the vaccines do protect against variants.

How exactly are they identifying variants if the PCR test doesn't work and antigen tests can't specifically identify a virus? Not to mention no isolation means nothing to compare new samples to other than what a computer was told was a sample of covid taken from a postive PCR test which means they actually no evidence that new coronavirus even exists.

So much for mRNA vaccines automatically reducing the severity of any variants due to their magical powers.

Vaccines for rapidly-mutating RNA viruses are, as you stated, pointless (well, pointless from a national health perspective; if you want to sell stuff and manipulated money markets, they make perfect sense).

The Jerusalem Post had an article recently that stated Israel had many candidates of existing medicines that appeared to be effective against the virus.

I'm sure the delay is just waiting to get a new formulation with a patent on it to make big money.
