Canada : Ontario : BC : Vaccine Passports : What does living under that feel like ?

I don't even go out much so I wouldn't know.

We have non essential things now requiring vaccine Pssports.

Going to gym, movie theaters, dining in, is now illegal unless ur vaccinated.

It took effect yesterday so I went to my gym today to see if I can get in.

I scanned my gym card got Inside and they made a line to get to the front desk so you can't skip It and turn away. Then at the front desk they asked me for the digital proof and I said I dont have it and then they asked me for paper proof and I said I dont have it . Then they said they can't let me in. So I said cancel my member ship and that was it . The gym will bill me until October 27 they said even though I cant access it. I feel like getting some gasoline and finishing the job.

So far we can still buy food and takeout but we all know kn GLP that will be the next right taken away soon. Then it will get serious

I heard it will only last for you guys in B.C till January 2022, and it'll end from then on....or could be another series of events

Yesterday, it started here (Toronto) , took a bus and streetcar to go to a client, I wore no mask, no problem.
Finished the job, took a cab home, no mask.
Wen’t to the liquor store, no mask, no vaccine passport. Went to Tim Hortons, notice on door said, mask, vaccine passport and ID needed, walked in maskless, ordered, got my stuff and left.
Today at Home Depot, the grocery store and another store in a mall, no mask, no vaccine passport, no hassle. Oh yeah, also went to the bank, maskless, did my transaction and left.
So so far, not much has change for me over the vaccine passport draconian bullshit.

Today's the first day I've been out.

I don't see this affecting my life too much. I don't do any of the activities that are being prohibited, and most coffee shops and restaurants still offer take out (though I will boycott the ones enforcing the mandate). Some are ONLY offering takeout so as not to discriminate at all. Most don't have any notices up, so it's hard to tell at this point.

This is technically not a law so it's incumbent on the business to ask the customer to leave if they do not have correct papers, and then call the police (lol) if they refuse... so it's not as though there are cops out pro-actively enforcing this like in Australia.

We're still allowed to leave our homes and have no distance limitations.

I'm big into boycotting so for me it was easy... fuck you who supports this nazi level bullshit. I have always been a very simple person in that I don't want much in life but to have quality time with the people I care about and my needs met.

Besides, I'm a chef so my food cooked at home is better than restaurants except if they shut down access to food then it's on like Donkey Kong.

It's Nazi Germany. Restaurants have big yellow Covid Passport signs on them and ask for papers, so it's Nazism, plain and simple. I gather with friends on Friday for drinks and home-cooked dinners now and don't go out. I wouldn't go out even if vaxxed. They can shove thier papers.

I'm attending freedom protests and rallys. We won't stop until Canada is free again. We are doing this even for the retarded passport idiots.

Sad part is I'm still free while the ones who show papers aren't. If they need a booster in the future and don't get one thier "freedom" is gone. They are slaves the same as the blacks were on the plantations. Show your pass or else isn't freedom.

If they go through with jab or else no job in late Oct the shit hits the fan.

I am still trying to process it. I knew this was coming but I feel numb. I will let you know how I feel when they finally ban me from getting food at a grocery store without a vaccine passport.

It seems that it will be potentially encouraging the lowest human tendencies ALL backed up by government policy.

This is potentially VERY dangerous and evil.

Especially if people at ground level aren't being aware.

This could turn NASTY very quickly.

You are right it is not freedom when you have to have vaccine and vaccine passport to do anything now. I never had to show any papers to eat out in a restaurant in the past but I now do. That's not freedom. That's slavery and those who submit are now slaves of the state.

Only so-called "non-essential services" are effected.

No restaurant access anymore, so have to be creative for first dates... Saving a lot of money though and making big family dinners as usual.(Note: while patrons need passport, the entire restaurant staff CANNOT be forced to get the jab due to labour laws...). But it's still a big annoyance and likely illegal and nonsensical.

No gym access; I only workout outside anyway so has no personal impact on that front. But, I now can't take one of my kids to their indoor climbing training. Built an outdoor wall instead which is a huge success.

Keeping my powder dry (and preparing my case) until the most opportune moment to sue based on the Charter; it will happen if they try to mandate the vax for my little one (or coerce us by limiting access to school, etc.).

Yep that's when the shit hits the fan is when they cut off your food supply.

I don't know, and I guess I won't know because I won't be going anywhere that requires them.

Just knowing they're in effect though is pretty shitty. Knowing I won't be able to join family/friends at a restaurant is surreal.

All of this is surreal. I can't believe that this is my country.

The way my PM talks about the unvaxxed makes me livid. Absolutely livid.

That'd be pretty insane, but who knows.

We have literally zero representation at the provincial or federal levels.

As far as I'm concerned, Trudeau has openly declared us second-class citizens when he referred to us as "those people" in a speech to "all" Canadians (meaning we are not included in the "all").

Scary but incredible time to be alive. Put your trust in God. So far he has not failed to protect me.

Some places aren't enforcing it at all. One eatery posted signs on their place and notices on social media that they aren't asking for passports and when I got there the line up for the place was outside with a dozen people waiting to get in. They were doing a land office business.

The place I normally eat at was asking for the passport and since I am 'unclean', I am not welcome. I won't forget that.

Every single poll, one done right on Doug Ford's Twitter in the comment section, shows that the majority (and not just a small majority) do NOT support the passports...vaccinated or unvaccinated.

Been like this in Manitoba for a while, but no one talks about Manitoba. Not so fun fact: Our Premier resigned recently, stating that if he didn't, "they" were going to spread lies about him. Didn't specify who they were, but he had two years left in office i think.

That's funny because Toronto has been more locked down than my city, which isn't too far from Toronto, yet my city is a Liberal dominated shit hole and everyone here is covid nuts. Can't go on bus or taxi or anything without a mask. At work I've found some places that you can take it off when 6+ feet and one or two that didn't give a damn about it at all. Overall it's very restrictive.

Except most of those places aren't on the list. Gyms, restaurants, those are the major ones. Retail stores and malls don't require the pass. Yet.

Well, I don’t wear a mask, but everybody else does around here when on buses, cabs, in stores.

I live normal, homebody. But my son will have reduced hours as a security guard soon, not that the company has mandates, but alot of their clients do. And we're going to be creating income for him over the next year. So he never really has to do that again anyway. If that happens to my other 2 sons living in the big town nearby, we'll all be crammed onto our property and finding ways to make money for all of them and never ever ever ever, will we ever consent or obey any evil psycho's. We're going to create our own self defense as well.

I know that, and it’s shitty they are doing this, I enjoy going to restaurants bars once or twice a week, so this sucks.

The feeling is very heavy. I escaped Soviet Union because of this and now we have even worse situation in Canada.

Other than that, I never went into places where they require vaxx passports so no loss for me (other than Roy Thompson Hall for classical music concerts which I miss).

Time to think about moving to another country or getting fake papers!!

We can't look at it as "no loss" because it most definitely IS one.
