Undertakers note, that their workload is higher than during the previous years (plural). A LOT of businesses went belly up, who are not looking for employees. Where those displaced employees hav gone? Pandemic unemployment compensation stopped on Sept 1st. It's October now... So a simple, logical, reasonable(!) question: Where have the MISSING people gone? I can come-up only a fee answers: 1. Alien abductions. 2. The Rapture. 3. They decided to become bums and homeless. 4. They decided to become criminals. 5. The vaxx... |

Went to taco bell: due to a staffing shortage, the dining room is not open. Went to the drug store drive-through: due to staff shortages, the drive-through is closed. This was onde day every place I stopped at. What are all these people doing? Are they still getting govt assistance or has everyone just stopped working? |

Be prepared if you need to travel to certain destinations in WA state. You may need to make alternative plans. |

Quoting: Osmium76 Washington Ferry Workers Hold ‘Sickout’ Protest to Impact Labor Day Weekend Travel by JD Rucker September 5, 2021 [link to noqreport.com (secure)] From that link; [link to noqreport.com (secure)] Ferry workers in Washington are holding a “sickout” protest against Covid “vaccine” mandates over Labor Day weekend as well as on September 11, forcing the state to shut down the reservation system. Last month, 91 employees for Washington State Ferries requested vacations on the same day, signifying their solidarity. A Delta Variant outbreak among employees has also reduced ranks as many have been forced into quarantine. The protest is in response to Governor Jay Inslee’s various mandates, including vaccination requirements that are generating protests from multiple industries in the state. But the ferries, which are extremely important in a state that’s made up of several heavily populated islands, are getting more media attention than others. The bulk of local media is presenting very biased coverage, as expected. King5 had published an article and did a television segment in which they only interviewed those who were opposed to the protests.[Less 50%] [link to noqreport.com (secure)] [bold *emphasis mine.] |

Something to do with flight controllers walking out or something like that. Maybe it has something to do with mandates or something else is going on. |

New ferry line cutting education and enforcement underway The first cancellations for Friday were announced late Thursday night, when Washington State Ferries said a pair of morning sailings for the Seattle/Bremerton route were being canceled due to a staffing shortage. A reduced schedule was then announced for the Fauntleroy/Vashon for the same reason, followed by the cancellation of dozens of Friday sailings for the Edmonds/Kingston ferry. More cancellations then began flooding in shortly before 5 a.m. Friday, including 12-hours worth of sailings for the Mukilteo/Clinton route, as well as all sailings for the day through 8:50 p.m. after a single roundtrip at 6:10 a.m. for the Anacortes/San Juan Islands ferry. “20 years doing traffic in the city, NEVER have I EVER seen anything like this,” KIRO Radio Traffic Reporter Tracy Taylor tweeted. As of 6:45 a.m. Friday, Taylor reports a total of 141 cancelled sailings for the day, as well hours-long delays for many other routes. Thought it was maintenance issues. Thanks for the info. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80039226 This is a big thing! It hits right at the heart of the Blue part of this state too! That is where most of the ferry crossings occur. Not so good for the Eastern conservative side of the state though, other than the stance for doing it. |

On the 18th they will be terminated if not inoculated. KIRO reported that the service can't afford to lose any employees. Shit is going to hit the fan in Washington state by 18th. |
