I don't think they can legally make you disclose your vax status or any medical information.

Legally they can't. Doesn't seem to matter though. We'll be on unpaid leave - not getting earned PTO and no unemployment- if they don't recognize our exemption reasons as valid.

With that said, I have researched the topic of employer mandated vaccines thoroughly, and have arrived at what I believe is not only THE BEST OUT, but THE ONLY OUT

While US Law allows the various states a lot of autonomy with their specific state level employment laws, there are special federal statutes that encompass ALL employers in the US, regardless of state of incorporation, principle place of business etc.

The ones we NEED BE MOST aware of relate to statutes overseen by the EEOC.

In the most basic summary these laws specfically prohibit ANY and ALL discrimination based on several protected classes including RELIGION.

These laws trump "right to work state laws" or "at will employment" laws.

The reason employers can and will be firing people who do not comply is because those employees refusing are doing it IN THE WRONG WAY!

Now, can an employer still fire you after sending this letter? Sure? Will they look for reasons to fire you after you send this that may be unrelated to your vaccine status (such as nitpicking work, or makin up conduct violations)? Sure.

BUT

They will KNOW that this letter exists and ANY employment lawyer is going to love you. These are the kinds of cases that have a chance and employers know it. Peace and blessings.

The argument is to based around why you feel religion exempts you. I can only comment from a christian perspective.

First argument to be made is the notion for being in end times. You can see many in this forum concluding this and there are a great many pastors out there also stating this. I'll come back to this.

First you may be challenged on your religious activities, what church do you goto? Personally I do not attend any church and the reason behind that is faith in the message being presented. Not every church are the same, the bible warns in the last days that Gods people are destroyed through lack of knowledge:

4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Hosea.

This raises the concern over who has correct knowledge (which will vary from pastor to pastor) and what times we are living in. In light of that, i have only found online sermons from pastors that I trust. I have looked locally and havent found anyone who speaks to me like the following church representatives:

I watch their sermons frequently and they stream on youtube, they do believe we are on end times so instead of going to church, I listen online as these people speak the message of God to me. So that's your church question sorted.

Why not take the medication? In revelation it is warned:

So where are we? we've discussed a church, the period of time we believe it be (revelation) and a warning about a Pharmaceutical product that will take away the spirit of God from us. How do we know this is what the bible warns about? Why have you taken other medication and refused this one?

If you havent done so already and dont have a bible, download the KJV bible from the app store. My one allows you to save verses and build a collection. Very hand for referencing and referring back to in your argument.

Start from the standpoint that the first amendment does not obligate you to choose from a preselected list of government approved religions, and that they have no right to test your faith. If it is against your sincerely held beliefs, then you are under no obligation to convince them of your beliefs - most HR bureaucrats aren't capable of understanding anything beyond themselves and their tiny petty lives.

secondly when things are said like. "the university has 98% vaccinated" it means they allow some exemption. and who has more "religious rights" right now in this shitgov.

You have two choices,

1. You must present a letter that is based upon case law, ie seek an atty to write.

2. The 5th circuit has stayed the mandate. Ask your employer under what guidance are they asking for vaccine information and why is it limited to covid when the mandate has been stayed. Since the mandate does not exist currently you can default to state law, which also included philosophical reasons. Confer with HR.


Your best bet is to push the 5th circuit decision. Next is get an atty. Do not write it on your own. It needs case law precedent.

Ps - DO NOT cite your religion, affiliation or sect, holy book... period!!!

My religious exemption was accepted, almost all of my coworkers who also submitted religious exemptions were denied. My suggestion is to be clear, concise, and let them know that you will under no circumstances take the vaccine. I also avoided using the fetal cell usage during research/production as a reason for my religious exemption.. my company was using that as a way to attack by citing that many medications like Tylenol used them during research.

Contest the premise of the request. The mandate has been STAYED.

Seeing as you started this thread five days ago, but only had two hours to come up with an exemption request, how about giving us an update as to what you came up with? And, how well did it work or not work?

I sent them almost 5 full pages of medical and religious exemption reasons.
Today, they sent me an email saying my exemption request was approved.

My employer said that we are required to get vaxxed or submit to weekly testing. Will this protect me from getting the weekly test as well? I don’t mind wearing a mask and getting temp checked.

I will have to scrub some info and reword a bit so-as to avoid exposing my personal health info and identity to GLPers and my employer (if they search for key words/terms I used and find me here).
