When you observe someone dying
Where I work I witness people dying. My own Father who was a Christian passed away in a hospice he said “the two lovely ladies are waiting for me” before he passed and looked happy?

One lady recently passed away and I was doing checks on her, two minutes, when she suddenly moved I looked up and was startled as she turned her head towards me and screamed “No No No” before passing again?

I heard Micheal Landon “little Joe” “pa” little house on the prairie was screaming and scratching at the bed clothes before he passed?

I think they know they’re on their way to “the bad place” ?

Ive seen it a bit in the Infantry. A few traffic fatalities but its different in those circumstances because your so busy trying to save and reassure them that you kinda expect it. A few years ago i was staning in my lodge. Having a beer and some shots witha lodge brother. We were shooting the shit. He was yelling me about his plans for retirement in a few weeks. Next thing you know his face lost all expression and he slumped over and fell into me at the bar. I laid him down and me and a few others took turns doing CPR until the ambulance showed up and took over. He was gone though. Never had a heart issue was about 60. I was about 46 and had a triple bypass and 5 stents.....you never know. He felt no pain and from what o could see never knew what hit him.I on the other hand have massively painful heart attacks and suffer greatly while waiting for them to put another stent in. Who knows who is luckier.

Yes, many people passing with T-E-R-R-O-R on their faces.

As told to me by a chaplain commenting that my relative looked at peace.

Many are at peace.

Some preceding signs are seeing angels.

Staring upward in the corners.

American culture is programmed with fear, unknowing & closed mindedness when it comes to death.

I found this FREE EBOOK.

[link to www.buddhanet.net]

Worry not it does not have pictures. The book is called THE MANY FACES OF DEATH by Jacqui James. It is a great book.

Death can be viewed from different perspectives. I see death as a process.

I see death as a bridge to the next chapter.

Americans see death in black/white, win/lose, succeed/failure, beginning/ending terms.

There is a time to live & a time to die.

Maybe we should celebrate death like we celebrate birth.

Celebrate one's next chapter.

I worked in a nursing home for 20 years, but 1 death really spooked me. One of the old gents a nice old man, I sat with him the night he passed, he had no family nearby. Suddenly, he started screaming and shouting and pointing towards the wall, and started to kind of struggle and fight with something thrashing out at something, and screaming "no, I dont wont to, I'm not ready no", he really screamed and yelled in horror and really struggled and fought against dying. Really creeped me out, spooked for the rest of the night.

Actually its a little different, just nde's are different than that. I bought a book after my mother died in the words of the dying. Especially those who are going more slowly, and they transition, sometimes months, certainly days, weeks. And 80%, the majority, have visits and see people from the other side. Sometimes its, who are these people, why is it so crowded, in the hospital. Some staff have witnessed the visitors, and family.

They talk about going on a journey a voyage.

My mother tried over and over again 2 months and sooner, before her death Feb 6, to get my son to pack up her bags. She was moving to a house on the hill, and she needed all her things packed up.

Then she told my son in the late evening, around 9 pm and dark, to go outside and bring the tall blond man with bike in and he can't stay outside. Well she and a deceased friend of hers had been talking to him for hours right through the wall her bedroom. And then she mentioned his name, he was our cousin who had died in his 20's, possibly in the late 80's. Which I told her and she looked confused.

The night she died, had this impulse to re-arrange my mint linux to resemble Mac desktop and the most beautiful crocus's and spring flowers, there were all these flowers.

I was exhausted, thought it was 11 but it was 1:30 and hurried to bed, heard her talking to herself, not calling for help. Fell into an exhausted deep sleep. She died probably around 2 am.

Those wonderful wallpapers that aren't my normal style, were a gift from her.

it was a cold spell coming and my son was in the garage which isn't finished being transformed, and suddenly felt my mother, rearrange her room, had to sort out her things, my son was moving in it.

Also, the night she died, around 9-10 twice she called me to her room and told me, she had seen my son walk through her room.

Now we were both paranoid as he drives 40 min to work and he was working and was waiting for a phone call, and we always pray for his safe travels, so this freaked me out again, she had done that a couple months before as well. She saw him as if he was physically there walking through the room.

Well he's in her room. And have had so many experiences of her presence watching over, kind of high management, organizational.
The Devil tries to convince everyone he doesn't exist.
The state tries to convince everyone they cannot resist.

My grandfather was on home hospice after refusing cancer treatments. He went out his way, in the home he worked hard for with his family right with him. He seems to be prepared and at peace. He was very much a dad and a responsible man so he had everything in order.

We knew the day was coming when he took his car keys out of his pocket and put his wallet on the dresser. The day he passed, he waited until my husband got home from work. I knew it was because he didn't want me to be alone in the house.

Re: When you observe someone dying
When a husband died, I was shocked.

He went peaceably and I was there. There was a kind of a pop sound and I looked at him and suddenly his body almost seemed like it was just a wax figure just laying there. It seemed like the pop was the soul leaving the body. I looked up and said goodbye because I knew the spirit was leaving to go home.

When I saw that, I realized that the soul really is what makes us real and once the soul leaves it is different than I expected. I guess I thought it would seem like the dead people in caskets or on tv shows--the same person but that they seem to be only in "deep sleep, lifeless" mode.

Instead, the body was like the empty wax figures (at least to me). While I have always been a Christian and believed in life after death, that experience changed me. I realized that we are souls with a body on a whole new level and for that, I am glad.

My godmother picked up the phone and had a long conversation with another woman
This went on for a while.. And it was amazing because she was dying... And she was having a good old time on the phone and was talking like old friends would on the phone. When she hung up we asked who she was talking to. And she said.. Your mother..i was talking to your mother... What is strange is.. My mother died 10 years earlier

Re: When you observe someone dying

There's some nightmare fuel for you guys

damned

Don't know whether I believe in an afterlife. Part of me thinks NDEs and seeing things before death is just the brain shutting down, no more no less. But truth be told I WANT to believe in something better than this life..

Only person I've seen die is my grandmother. She was a fine woman. My family and I were gathering around her bedside before she passed. Everyone was quiet and no one said much. Room was dark and some people had their heads down or staring off into space. Myself I was watching my grandmother intently.

I saw the moment she passed; don't think anyone else did. Her body seemed... empty somehow. As if she was no longer present there. It's hard to explain exactly. Wouldn't say it was ethereal or anything as I don't wish to exaggerate but it was a bit strange.

Took about 2 minutes or so before anyone else realized she was gone. Didn't point it out or mention about how the death certificate had the wrong time. Just didn't feel like my place.

Not much of a story I know. But that's the only person I've seen die up close.

I watched my father in law pass. Took 3 days of the death rattle. He had an infection from an unclean catheter after chemo. He finally passed when his sister arrived from California to be by his bedside. I felt him leave.

My great uncle passed (years ago) after working all morning at his sawmill, he came in the house for lunch, sat at the table, had a glass of iced tea, looked at my great aunt and said “I’m going home”, dropped dead as a door nail.

I can’t think of a better way to go.
