so i used kratom to drastically reduce my alcohol intake.. kratom is nuts!

2 years on it followed by 2 months off and didn't 'feel' any withdrawal aside from MAYBE slightly sleepless legs? If that's the withdrawal, who cares?

so before all this i was a pain pill addict... but i quit all that, then i became an alcoholic..

then, with kratom, i've cut that to a reasonable amount... as in, i dont necessarily drink EVERY day...and when i do, it's like less than a 6 pack.


it's crazy how bad a rap kratom gets though.. (i know because i was guilty of it) before i actually TRIED kratom and for any amount of time.. i didnt understand..

it's NOT an opiate. it doesn't have the opiate withdrawal...

direct evidence of this is how it DOES NOT interfere with, say, oxycodone..

i have real, chronic pain.. and every now and then i need an actual oxycodone.... and even while taking the kratom for the last 6 months, the few times i've taken oxy, it is a DISTINCT DIFFERENT feeling, then the kratom.. and it doesn't matter if i have a little tolerance built to the kratom, it doesn't take away from the effect of the oxy.

also, you can take both, and feel them differently. kratom is from the coffee family, and it DOES, actually feel like coffee, when you take it at the same time as a full agonist opiate.

kratom has a few problems

1 is the withdrawal and habit forming attributes which certainly are there . in order to acquire no dependency at all it should be taken no more than 3 times per week at 2 grams or below per dose .

2 is side effects . seems those with cardiac issues may develop complications with heart or other circulation issues . also incidences of liver dysfunctions including hepatitis . reductions in testosterone and accompanying effects such as hair loss , increased body fat composition etc. seem to be fairly frequent as well.

3 adulteration with other materials. as kratom is not regulated or controlled safety oversight of is limited . have been numerous reports of foreign materials being added to ...everything from shards of glass to other drugs such as xanax and vicodin , which may in part account for side effects . issue of potency and quality also fall under this point , saturation of pollutants and heavy metals should be kept in mind too.

all things considered not something id recommend consuming .

I am just saying that this dude is not correct I and close friends used to take kratom daily like 3 times a day and it does have insane horrible withdrawal much like heroin if you dont believe me then just google anyone who says that kratom is harmless is fucking complete idiot. THAT being said I support it as a helper of those in need of opiates its much better and safer.
