Has anyone ever been in New Orleans during the Mardi Gras season?

I did, think it was 1998......It was a blast. I was single...for about 10 mins after I arrived. All the ladies with us showed their juggs and so did we dudes LOL. I was young and dumb, it was a good party. Very crowded, and a bit dangerous. Lots of fights and watch your money, in the hotel and out.

I did, think it was 1998......It was a blast. I was single...for about 10 mins after I arrived. All the ladies with us showed their juggs and so did we dudes LOL. I was young and dumb, it was a good party. Very crowded, and a bit dangerous. Lots of fights and watch your money, in the hotel and out.

Did you really flash? It's not just the young ones who flash. You should see all the old ladies doing it. It can get really nasty. I have tons of photos I've taken over the years. LOL
I've NEVER flashed and never will.
Usually if you stay out of the french quarter you're pretty safe. I tend to stick to the family areas of town...much safer, but not as many sights.

Yeah, I really flashed LOL. We didn't really know much about New Orleans at the time, and we just wanted the party, to be honest. I have been back since......but not since Katrina, I do love my sister to the east.

We have Gasparilla Days coming up here, sort of Tampa Bay's answer to Mardi Gras. Lots of flashing too! lol

YeeHaw!!! My wife wants to go to Mardi Gras so bad, but we are both very busy right now. We were going to try and go to the jazz fest this year, she loves Dave Matthews and he is usually there. I want to see New Orleans pretty bad myself, has it changed a lot since Katrina?

I had friends that went there and were robbed.

I did a few years ago with both daughters and we had an absolute blast...its gets a bit crazy but all in fun. Its definitely worth going to.

Bike week in Daytona will be coming up in about a month. They don't flash there though.....they just leave em out....;)

Made it to Mardi Gras once on a port visit when I was in the Navy. Blacked out at some point and can only remember things in brief flashes after leaving Pat O'Briens. I do remember I ate trout pecan and was drinking whisky sours before hurricanes.

I remember some dude running down a street with a fire extinguisher and tassels tied to his head.

I remember some crazy woman in a bar with fake boobs. Not implants, she had this plastic thing that looked like boobs.

I remember we got kicked out of the nude wrestling place because we were rowdy and heckling the biker chicks in the show, "Don't rip her pasties off! Don't rip her pasties off! We just ate!"

I remember a bunch of us going to a bar that was full of rugby players and one guy was introducing himself to everyone with a head butt. He was a bloody mess.

I remember we drank one bar out of Everclear.

I remember one of the rugby players passed out from the booze and stopped breathing and an ambulance came to get him.

I remember doing the Hanky Dance.

That's all I remember out of a 10 hour drinking binge in New Orleans for Mardi Gras.

Mardi Gras is the best fucking time.

I shudder to think what it looks like now. I loved that place.

I haven't been to NOLA since Katrina hit, though I've tried.

Now I'm in Austin and it's a long drive.
