Mass is way different... A .22 LR has a velocity of 1,255 ft/s The Gamo .177 has 1,300 ft/s But the mass is much less... Also depends on barrel length. Numbers on ammo boxes are reference only, and don't mean nothing when you're barrel is over 16 inches.
