Anonymous Coward User ID: 80196381 Belgium 03/17/2022 05:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I had heard stories, including on here about how the vaccinated smelled weird. I hadn't really noticed anything until I recently quit smoking. Once my sense of smell started improving, I was disgusted by what I smelled. Yeah, also from some of the smells coming from myself, but holy shit people are disgusting. The grocery store, the gas station, everywhere. And being able to fully smell all the smells I was missing before? Good God is that the world that non-smokers live in? I couldn't take it anymore. After a week without a puff I bought a pack just so I didn't have to smell everyone's nasty body odors anymore Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72628964 That not the vaccinated you are smelling. Just your average American. They eat too much meat and hence they smell of death. |

You can smell the nicotine from 2 blocks away. You can see the sun glint off their yellow stained teeth. Their clothes reek. Don't dare venture into their overwhelmingly stinky apartments. |

Some people could smell themselves, other's weren't aware of it. You can still google it and go look at some of the old threads. There were office managers complaining about their office stinking, for example. A school nurse noticed her students that were vaccinated had a smell. There were tons of them that I read through. In general, people get used to smells. So it's all died down now. The OP is 100% true. I am an occasional smoker, i smoke a bit then take a break for a bit. (little cigars) and it's just a fact and it's not trying to be funny - they really do have a smell. At this point, I think most people are just used to it. |

When you take a break from smoking and get your sense of smell back, does it seem like everything smells way too strong? Like it's distracting how much everything smells so strong |

I have sensitivity to light can see kinda better but almost too much - gives me a headache, my taste is stronger (but most things taste worse) and my sense of smell is better. |

I had the sensitivity to light also, along with the headaches. Was it harder for you to concentrate? I felt like I kept forgetting something or couldn't find the right word in conversations |

I remember last time I hadn't smoked in awhile - I told my wife "it's like I'm getting too much oxygen, too much air, I can smell & taste everything - it sucks" It's one of those things where you kinda forget exactly what it feels like after awhile. But, I remember saying that - and then it makes me remember the experience as I was fairly descriptive when I told her that. |
